What was the charge rate at the end? (it was hard to read it in the video)

Looked more like 32 mins? Even better!

Posted on Twitter :) Thanks for quickly testing to null out some of the "yea it doesn't matter" claims.

This is what I feared - that they would advertise a peak rate to get headlines, but only have it last for a moment and result in minimal reduction in total charge time.

I don’t get it. What is the issue with allowing the battery to take full prolonged advantage of the full speed for 20 minutes or whatever it’ll take most of the time? Is it for maintaining the health of the battery or some other cost issue?

Thanks for posting. Timelapse makes it very clear when it starts to slow down (~60%, then more at 70%).

Telsa needs more data from the fleet in order to turn up the juice to full potential. Half a million watts is no joke lol. They need to be absolutely sure all components can handle it before turning it on for thousands of people.

Yeah that's why, not because of batter health and longevity... lol

When on a road trip charging from 10-50, it still can speed things up considerably.

We don't know where this will land, but each minute off counts. Even with no change to the curve and adding the 500kW that is coming, the CT is going to be comparable to the LG pack 3/Y in time. Saying that though, flatly assuming there won't be a change to the curve is incorrect too. We saw this with the V3 rollout too and the curve dramatically changed within a year.

People really forget how poor the initial V3 curve was:

We now see 250 held to the low to mid 30s and then a steady taper to roughly the same point at 55% here.

The first time I did a cross-country trip in my Model 3 a few years back I had a mediocre experience at many of the superchargers we stopped at. On the next one only 6 month later we stopped at most of the same chargers, and they'd done a considerable amount of work making the curve work better and it was a night and day difference. I'm sure there's quite a bit more they'll squeeze out of these experiences as time goes on. 325kw is new - they literally pushed a software update to make it happen at all V4 cabinets - and we're sure to see it improve.

They don’t want it to overheat and blow up

What passenger vehicle(s) besides the cybertruck will be able to take advantage of the v4 speeds?
