For me it is just another TRUCK!!
It is if you don't care how it feels when you drive it. A lot of truck owners say, "It's a truck, it's supposed to be slow and pnderous and not very nimble or maneuverable!"

How does that rate on your scale of fan boys making up excuses?

It seems to me that once you come to terms with the fact that Tesla has not yet delivered a 500-mile version, that most of the things people complain about are either false or so minor as to be laughable. Fingerprints, tonneau cover seeps, looks, frunk size, etc.

People should be talking about the qualities specific to Cybertruck that bring big value to the vehicle, the massive 35" OEM tires that can roll over bumps and obstacles more confidently, the massive 17" of ground clearance in extract mode, the flexibility of a huge range of ride heights, the utility, safety and comfort of automatic suspension damping adjustments, the highly nimble steer by wire and four-wheel steering system, the world-class digital interface and software, the toughened glass, the motorized tonneau cover you can walk on, the super comfortable ventilated seats, the hospital grade HEPA filtration for the cabin, the frunk that is so low and easy to load it doubles as a loveseat, etc, etc. etc. All these things bring incredible value to the Cybertruck.

It seems from a rational perspective, no other truck even comes close, so the Cybertruck detractors have to claw at whatever little quibbles they can magnify. Like the fully expected seeps of water into the truck bed under the right conditions. That's normal for trucks. Or claims that the headlights are somehow inadequate. Or fingerprints, whatever they can come up with. Don't get me wrong, the fingerprints are real, I'm just having difficulty imagining that many people care about fingerprints on their truck. Really? Next thing you know they will be complaining about dust and mud building up in the wheel wells as if this is something new or a big problem.

I feel like people have lost the ability to weigh the pluses and minuses in a rational manner when they say the F-150 Lightning is theequivalent of the Cybertruck. To me there is a chasm between the functionality, toughness and driveability of the Lightning and the Cybertruck. Those who don't see it that way should buy the truck they find most compelling. To me the choice is a no-brainer.

If you live in an area that rains from the same angles and at the same pressure as a car wash, MOVE! You live in a hurricane. Not a hurricane zone, you live in an actual hurricane.

I saw this Rivian today in the rain, and the Rivian leaked too! The bed was soaked!

Yea that Rivian got smoked in that side by side waterproof test :)

I'm working on waterproofing mine. Making good progress sealing the front of the horizontal panel that spans the truck right behind the roof glass. Was about 30m of work. I didn't use any adhesive just some weatherstripping ( https://a.co/d/fokzIJc ). No more waterfall down the back glass and wall of the vault. 👍🏻

That took care of the front. I'm asking Tesla to take care of the back gap by adjusting the tonneau. Some have had an extra slat installed by Tesla. There are also some options others are installing on the back tonneau side ( https://a.co/d/cUajBHi ) but I'll wait and see how the service goes. See thread here using that part: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/threads/make-your-pickup-bed-waterproof.43427/

I'm convinced that will take care of the water in the front completely. As far as the tailgate end is concerned, not that much of an issue and this is where Tesla could get smart by offering a better seal that is wider avoiding the gap up top at the same time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't really care to bitch about Tesla, Toyota, Ford, Isuzu, Volvo, or Lexus. I've had them all. They all had issues. None of them was even close to my Cybertruck.

If you don't like it just sell it.
