What šŸ¤” I always planned on sleeping in the bed. They have already talked about people testing it sleeping in the back with the seats up.
The truck would be a perfect camper if you could just get airflow back there.
Itā€™s a truck not an RV.
Just check on how many videos are on YouTube with people sleeping in the back of there Model 3, Y, and S. Lots of companies making products and mattresses specially made for it.
Then divide that by how many million?

I wonder how many people havenā€™t slept in their truck?
How many of the million wanted longer range? I would say a lot

But you do you. Itā€™s ok if you use the truck different than me

A quick search of this forum shows that sleeping in the back of the bed was a pretty common activity people were excited about.
Why would Tesla offer camp mode if it wasnā€™t?

I donā€™t think many were expecting hvac in the truck bed, but if the rear window opened, set to camp mode you could get some cooling/heat/air flow in the bed. A poll before launched showed about 47% were hoping for the rear window to go down. . .
Thanks for the response about not intending to mock. I appreciate that.

Although this may not be high on your list of activities to do with your CT, I donā€™t think it is as novel of an idea as you think it is.

When we went camping this year, we ran into people sleeping in the back of their truck instead of building a tent.

Seems common enough.

Anyhow, you can calculate the air in a given space if you're worried about it. The vault is measured in hours, without calculating any airflow. Which you might want; it can get steamy inside a closed box even if there's enough air.

I don't recall if it was in a video or a tweet post-launch that confirmed the truck will self-level in camp mode to make sleeping either in the bed or the tent more comfortable.

I know we saw pictures of a CT going through a water ingress test chamber, but I can't remember seeing any posts or quotes that confirmed water proofing. If I take a nap in the vault with it closed, am I getting dripped on?

Same question about air tightness, if the vault is closed and there's zero HVAC connection to the cabin.... How high is the CO2 ppm going to climb in there while I'm napping....
Didn't they send a guy in the truckbed through a water chamber?

Yes it is in the YouTube video posted today of the Foundation series online ordering options.

My hope is that down the road Tesla will activate self-leveling dynamically for load hauling. That could help with range extender batteries for those concerned about towing (tongue weight distribution).

I will be sleeping in my Cybertruck, either the vault or back seat. I read engineers were seen sleeping in the rear cabin, on the floor, back seats folded up. Works up to about size 6-0 person.

I'm currently paying for my Model Y (as I did my Model 3) by renting my slope-side ski condo and sleeping in the car a few nights per month. Four nights per month sleeping in the Model Y pays for the monthly car loan. Five or six nights per month sleeping in the Model Y pays the monthly mortgage on the condo. Easy trade-off for me!

I am looking forward to 120v outlets in the Cybertruck, and storage space provided by the vault and interior.

The family was quoted as saying: He died doing what he loved, sleeping with his Cybertruck. It only has 3,521 miles on it if anyone would like to explore his journey further. Founder Series, 2024, $175k. He would not have wanted it any other way.

Just meaning it would only ā€œpushā€ someone to buy the CT for a small amount of the general population. 1 out of 900,000 is ā€œa lot of peopleā€; however, still less than a 1% use case.

I would be shocked if it is water proof. We have one on my wife's pickup that is a roller cover. It's rain resistant but not water proof. I wouldn't put paperwork in it and drive through a rain storm with it.
