I've been thinking (dangerous) about some of the advantages of the SS body.
"anchoring" something to this relatively "smooth" shape e.g. a mirror for towing, tent add-on, may be difficult.
So if it is magnetic enough it would be very handy.
Does anyone know if the 300x SS is able to hold a magnetic anchor point? I have some very strong neodymium magnets that I find useful.

it isn't magnetic.

"Bugger", that's inconvenient!
How to attach an external mirror when towing?
It is a ADR in Australia when towing.

Yea not magnetic, could tig weld little nuts here and there to easily mount stuff. Or even tack weld a thin small magnetic steel plate to it in places if your really want magnetic mounts. I guess u can epoxy or double sided tape some thing strong neodymium magnets as a mounting point too.

I expect my truck to have random things welded to it for mounting stuff, perhaps tapered, inset nuts for flush mount... If I end up getting 1, not sure anymore if it will work out :(

Anything you weld onto Cybertruck is bound to rust...unless you got some ferritic, or martensitic stainless. I wouldn't do it.

Well I was assuming stainless, iv seen some quite magnetic stainless similar to regular mild steel. Come to think of it, iv never welded stainless to not stainless. But I also dont weld much.

Newton, Yes, I can glue (T-Rex adhesive) steel plates where needed. Sizes appropriate to the mirror mountings. Thanks.

Thanks Cyber_Dav, have watched and book-marked for future reminder in my new EV folder.
I guess we in Oz will have something similar. Maybe Musky will have made some design included..he has great for-sight :)
I'm hoping they will make a slightly smaller version...I'm a bit short in the legs! I did manage with my Bronco for many years. Miss it, but figure the CT will have brakes. Never had them on the Bronco, spent thousands and then gave up driving with the holding brake. Only had one accident in 11 years!
Thanks again.
