Short version:
If you intend on purchasing today, and knowing what we know today and what we don't know yet; when the final product and pricing is revealed, what would prevent you from making the purchase?
1) ridiculous insurance
2) high cost of tires
3) Higher electricity usage (compared to model 3)
4) Model 3 is paid for.
5) My wife hates it, lobbying for Model Y with hitch
6) May have finished all my big construction projects that warrant a truck by then.
7) Hertz starts renting them. :)

The one use case that can never be defeated: NO DOOR DINGS

There are a number of things that would prevent my purchase of Cybertruck:

Life imprisonment with no chance of parole
Sentenced to Death Row
Becoming a quadriplegic (only until FSD is solved)
Becoming legally blind (again, only until FSD is solved)
Financial insolvency
Death

Other than those things, I look forward to buying a Cybertruck in any configuration at any price offered.

You would have to park on a hill to level the frunk. It would be faster to fry an egg on the glass roof or windshield because the coatings will reflect more heat while the stainless steel lacks heat rejection coatings. Of course, make sure whatever surface you use is level first.

The obvious problem is fried eggs are not a big hit when it's hot enough out to fry them on a Cybertruck.

There will only be one thing that would prevent me from buying my CT and it is death and death ONLY!!!

I wonder if I can find a burial ground big enough for it……..🤔

You're going to be real disappointed if you think you will be taking delivery of a Lightning by this summer. The chances of being struck by real lightning are better!
I took delivery of my Lightning July 1st (Summer). I love it, its the best truck I have ever owned. Still looking forward to the Cybertruck, I have a early reservation and hope to have both in my drive someday.

That's cool, electric is better than gas as long as they made it so it actually works 100% of the time. I wish Ford would make more Lightnings but they lose money on everyone they sell so they can't afford to make many of them. Will you be trading in/selling your Lightning when your Cybertruck is ready? What are the specs on your Lightning (the specs that differentiate it from more and less expensive models and how much did you pay before tax and license (but after everything else)?

I got the Lariat Extended Range, the specs between the various trims are all online you can look them up if you are interested. I paid $79269 MSRP with no additional markup from the dealer. I plan on keeping the Lightning after getting the Cybertruck to see which one meets my needs before I sell one of them. Heck, I haven't ever sold my Chevy Silverado yet.

My F-150 Lightning XLT shipped yesterday. I plan on keeping it until my Cybertruck reservation comes up.
Please send pictures and details on what you see and think. Likes and dislikes etc. We need something, and first hand info on the Lighting would be awesome.
