My wife had an accident and hit a pole that tore off the drivers side mirror, broke the small triangle window and bent something in the wheels alignment so that it's currently undrivable.
So, after taking it into one 'authorized' repair shop, we didn't feel comfortable with them because:
1) They had never worked on a CT before
2) They said it would take a 'couple of months' to do the repairs because its hard to get parts from Tesla
3) They said after repairs, the whole steering system would need to be recalibrated and such and they don't do that kind of thing so it would need to go to a Tesla shop for that.
So, we had it taken to a Tesla Collision Center (about 90 miles away - the closest one that works on CTs).
Well, today, they called and said "After we take some pictures and figure out what work needs to be done, you will need to pickup the truck until we can get the parts in." And proceded to tell me that it would take SIX MONTHS or longer to get the parts!! Excuse me??? 6 months just to get the parts in?!?!? Yep... That's what they are telling me. Why they didn't tell me that when I CALLED THEM DIRECTLY to find out if they could work on the truck and they said "Yes, but you will need to get it here" - so, we did.
I'm sorry, but our CT is only 2 months old!! It's completely paid for as well and now we're being asked to wait 6-7 MONTHS for them to repair it?
I even said, "What if we took it to a local shop, if you're too busy?" I was told it probably won't matter because it takes that long to get the PARTS from Texas?!?!? And AFTER the parts come in, THEN they will make an appointment to get it repaired???
Anyone else having this issue of not being able to get a CT repaired in a timely fashion?? I mean 6-7 MONTHS?!?!?!
