Why doesn’t Tesla offer white seats for the Cybertruck?

If the Cybertruck has the best tech, and is considered a somewhat luxury offering (certainly has the price tag), why haven’t they offered an option for white seats?

All of their other vehicles offer it and it’s popular. They already have the material so why not use it for this line?

I don’t want to hear “because it’s a truck and it might get dirty” as most people don’t use this truck for work.

Who knows? Probably for build simplification. The only options are wheels and interior decor. They can build 99% of the truck then slap on whatever you wanted at the end. White seats would add a lot of extra planning as they probably install those before the doors.

I’m just guessing, though.

I got the quality leather seat covers from EV Base and I will tell you right now, they are WAYYYYY more trouble than what the are worth… to keep clean and looking nice… so it makes sense to me that Tesla didn’t offer them. And I really don’t care if you didn’t want to hear this reason .

Tesla’s white seats aren’t leather and everyone raves about their durability how easy they are to clean.

To my recollection, Tesla usually only white seats/interiors for launch editions of vehicles to make them feel more special and discontinues them after.

They did the same for the Model S signature during it’s launch where all the seats and interior trim were white.

I do find it pretty funny Tesla calls the "Premium white interior" a 6in strip of white. When I ordered my M3 in 18' and got the PWI it was like the whole interior.

I wonder if it has something to do with the ventilated seats the white faux leather seems thinner and my not tolerate perforations?

No. Both our X and S have white perforated seats. It’s because is a truck. But, OP doesn’t want to be told that. ??‍

The white vegan leather is hearty and robust. It handles dirt and other perturbations very well and is easy to clean. It long-lasting, doesn’t yellow and has survived kids, pets and pens of all kinds. This is incontrovertible!

That doesn’t change the fact that white seats are going to show dirt, grime, paw prints and such like a neon sign. If you detail your truck after every drive, or only drive to Bloomingdales and the closest Jose Andres restaurant, you’re probably fine!

BUT, since what Elon POSITIONED this truck as a “really tough”™️ post-apocalyptic danger-wagon, they probably figured that the seats shouldn’t be white. ?

But, let’s think of less probable more complicated solutions to this obvious puzzle— shall we? Wrong answers only per OP’s directive.

I’ll go:

1. Bad feng shui?
2. Standing rules forbidding “messing with Texas?”
3. DEI?

Correct, but that’s only true of Juniper and Highland forward. So, since 01/24 for the 3 and 03/25 for Y.
