That’s the noise the wiper makes when it’s on. It goes WOMP WONP. It seems that’s just the way it is. Does everyone else have this experience?

Yes. It was a little surprising at first but we are so used to it now that I have tuned it out. Due to the low frequency noise, it really depends on where you sit too. Some places in the truck are silent and others you can really hear it.

First time I had to use it, I DEFINITELY heard the “Womp Womp”, only mine was a “Thump Thump” … it was pretty loud, sounded like it was coming through the Sub (even though don’t really know where the sub is?). So, my question is … will this go away after the recall action for the wiper. Now, don’t get me wrong … I don’t think it will bother me, unless I’m on a long trip, then it would get pretty old!

What is the standard noise of a windshield wiper? Isn't it WOMP? I think it is. With the CT having the world's largest wiper, I think I would expect a WOMP or something similar moving that beast of a wiper.

Mine does that, no matter how you spell it.

We got rain out here in western WA for the first time since I picked up the truck - and now I understand the WOMP WOMP. Though, mine sounds more like a Ka-Chunk Ka-Chunk (one each, at each end of the wipe).

Weird, though, it only seems to be at a certain wiper speed.
