Hi everyone,

I know there's been a lot of complaints (throttle house review, some owners, etc) about the headlights on the cybertruck so thought I'd make a quick video showing where you can adjust them.

PS: there's another cybertruck video on my channel that a lot of you might enjoy :)

Nice, let us know if the adjusted lights seem like they work better at illuminating the road. I wonder if the auto adjust is just buggy and can be fixed OTA.
The other video made me smile :) Thanks for that
Yes, definitely makes a huge difference. Before the lights were literally pointing up and the road was hard to see. After lowering appropriately the road is very well lit and the lights have a decent spread.

Interesting, maybe we will find the headlight criticism is simply a tuning issue easily fixed. I still think it’s odd given that self-adjusting headlights are not new. How could they get that wrong at launch? Once you manually adjust do they ever self adjust back to skylights?

That is great. So many reviews complained about the headlights. Either too low or too high like the throttle house guys. Not one of them seemed to know they were adjustable, but jumped to shitting on them.

This is excellent! How many vehicles can adjust headlights like this? I have never heard of any vehicle doing so. I am sure there are others, but this is such a cool feature that I’m guessing most people (like me) wouldn’t know.

Well, they should have gone through QC to catch things like this.

Perhaps they added it in a software update.

So odd that this was not done 'right' from the factory. There must be an standard method and testing done to make sure they meet NHTSA type of regulations. ... found the below as one example.

Seems like there is a potential for users maximizing THEIR vision but blinding others.

You might think so, but the light from the headlights won't travel far enough to increase your vision if you angle them upwards. I just went through this on my jeep, I aimed them on the higher end of what was recommended, was unimpressed with the illumination. Lowered them to the low end of the recommendation, and it was significantly better.

People who try aiming their lights higher will quickly find out it will reduce their visibility.

And this seems to mirror the experience posted here. That visibility improved after the lights were aimed downward.

Agreed, but the headlights need to be able to adjust based on the ride height the vehicle is requesting IMO. If the vehicle dynamically adjusts ride height as you drive, it needs to do the same for headlights not rely on a manual calibration input by the user.

All Teslas let you adjust the beam height like this. I got flashed constantly in my MY when I first purchased it.

I did the 25ft/3.5ft cut for both headlights and I stopped getting flashed by oncoming traffic. Visibility is still great. I also notice when I'm behind cars at night my cutoff is almost always at the bottom of the rear window so I know I'm not killing people looking in their rear view as well.

White the ride height will cause issues on user calibration until account for in the software it is nice to see the visibility at night is WAY better than the early videos.
Nice to now have the ability to adjust the lights.

It’s interesting, with dynamic ride height, does the headlights adjust to its distance from the ground to remain “trued” to its calibration? Teslas has all of the telemetry to know what state the truck is to achieve this.
