Ref: Tesla Secures Contract With Hyundai Glovis To Ship Cars Out of China (insideevs.com)
"Tesla Time News" did talk about that today.
What is to be noted is that this is only a one year contract (perhaps with extension clauses). Given that production in Texas and Berlin will start in 2022, it might explain the short term contract. Another thought is that for the future Tesla would purchase a few ships for shipping their own vehicles around the world. "Local" production is good to a point, but it can only go so far. Vertical integration including shipping around the world is very much how Tesla is doing things.
What do you think? It would be very cool to see a few massive Tesla ships. What could she be named?
