I saw the posts from @Stickercity about their textured precut vinyl plastic protection wrap. Sure many of you have seen the post here: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...ct-cargo-bed-surround-vinyl-wrap-kit-🚨.22158/

To start I really don’t like the OEM plastic trim, not that it looks bad, but it just scuffs way too easily. So I wanted to try to protect the trim around the bed and rear bumper.

Install was super easy, actually surprised how easy I was able to do it by myself. Took me like a total of 30 minutes to do all both kits combined. I was expecting it to be harder and take longer to get j use right with no air bubbles. I simply cleaned the plastic, then sprayed each piece down with water as well as the vinyl wrap. Apply and align. Finally squeegee water and air bubbles out.

Looks, I like it. I think it added some much needed depth and detail. Feels better protected now.

Overall very happy with the purchase. The only negative I have if any is well, it’s just a wrap, while thick, still won’t last that long should get 3 years from it. So wish there was a more permanent solution at a similar price, but for now this will due and I’m happy.

I’m considering getting a few of their pre cut packs as well.
what was the outside temp during install?
did you like the feel of the adhesive?
Does it cut easy?
did you need to cut any?
Last question, do you think it could withstand a pressure washer??

Installed early evening time like 70 degrees. Adhesive felt strong and good. Seems I could cut it easily with a razor blade if need, but wasn’t needed. I didn’t trim any pieces. Yes on pressure washer once all water is evaporated and adhesive is fully settled/cured on. I’ll take through a car wash probably on Monday or Tuesday.

If you don’t mind, please report back on how things go at the car wash. Any chance you are going to a soapy joes?

Lmao I posted my review of these today. Took me a couple hours for just the vault area. And I just realized I used the tie in port pieces as scrap ?

Hahahaha not sure why it took you so long. I thought it was very simple. Good video though, I don’t have the patience to do that.

Haha yea. Probably made things take longer considering it was 7pm directly after 45 mins of traffic home, starving, and losing light quick. Also had to record and vocalize the process. Also noticed you said you did a wet install?! Hope that doesn’t compromise your adhesion.
Curious…did you also pay ~$200 after tax? @Stickercity dropped the price to $150 shortly after I bought it ?

Interesting way to go. Considering how easy to remove all the all the plastic trim is, I just got some spray-on bedliner from home depot, threw all the plastic pieces on the lawn, and sprayed the hell out of them!

Share some photos, how well did it stick to the plastic?

This just seems like a waste of money. If you were worried about scuffs before, the sticker would just get damaged and look worse than before.

Kind of ironic since most people pay a lot of money to get rid of the orange peel effect, and here we are paying to put it back on.

Sure, attached.

The bedliner is designed for plastic adhesion and cures as a very rigid "rubber" coat. By rubber I mean that is extremely hard to chip. Sure, you can scratch and gouge it like anything else, but it's much much tougher for things like sticks and branches that mark up the plastic easily. Will it make bumpers damage-proof? Of course not, but it does make them immune to basic cosmetic scratches and rock pitting that plastic is very sensitive to.

As for the look: without actually touching it, it looks completely OEM. But the texture is very rough and diffuses light nicely. I would compare the texture to used medium grit sandpaper, weird but that's the background I have to work with :ROFLMAO:

As for the stripes on the bottom trim, that was done intentionally with tape after a failed experiment.

Out of curiosity, I sanded the back bumper lightly and reapplied the spray bedliner in a location that didn't require me to remove the bumper. I am VERY happy with the repairability results. I can't tell that it was sanded and redone at all.

Here are the products I used:
https://amzn.to/3YUhsev

Cheaper option that I wish I did because it works just as well for this application:
https://amzn.to/4dXOZZC

Even cheaper option that, I'm told, is tougher and more long lasting, but requires know-how to work with:
https://amzn.to/3SZXWta

warning: don't do the clear coat liner, it doesn't sand/repair well. Stick with black or opaque color from whatever product you decide to use.

Cheers!

Edit: Don't judge the dirty truck! I'm not a "wrap it and wash it 5x a week" type of truck user... Got a vineyard to run here.

Also the next image makes the dirt look like damage to bed liner. To be clear, I've been running very rough roads for about 2 weeks now with this setup, no scratches or even pitting on the wheel aero covers yet. Better than raw plastic so far.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with our textured precut protection wrap! We're thrilled to hear that the installation was straightforward and that you're happy with the added depth and protection it provides to your Cybertruck.

Regarding your point about the product not wrapping around the edges, we completely understand where you're coming from. We designed this wrap to be thick and durable, but we chose not to wrap the edges due to the material's thickness. Wrapping around those hard curves could cause the material to peel over time, which would compromise its longevity and overall effectiveness.

Our goal was to strike a balance between ease of installation, durability, and aesthetics, and we're glad to hear that you're enjoying the results. We’re constantly working on improving our products, and your feedback is invaluable.

Thanks again for your review, and if you ever have any questions or need support, we’re here to help!
