Which software release version added this?
I don't know but I am currently on 2024.26.11

I need to convert the apple iPhone video to mp4 or other format supported here because the format my buddy gave it to me in isn't supported.

i think that version must have increased the top speed because I tested it on 2024.26.3.1 and it tops out at ~113mph.

That's weird. I also have the software that seems to be preventing custom light shows, so obviously something is different at some level. Mine is a Beast delivered in early May, don't know if that makes a difference but I assume you have a Beast as well. I will say that the climb up to 132 was with EASE and that it was clear that it was limited electronically. Without that limited it would be interesting to see what the physical limit actually is. My guess is somewhere between 160 and 170, but that's just a guess...

It’s not a software version. It’s an incorrect board on the inverter of the front drive unit on some beast units which is limiting the speed to 114mph.

My front drive unit is getting replaced because of this

this is low-key a recall

I took the truck in a couple weeks ago because it wouldn’t go past 114. Engineering in Austin said it’s due to the board on the inverter of the front drive unit and the entire drive unit needs to be replaced.

Sounds like yours is also affected by this batch of bad boards.

Thanks. I read that you also had issues with abnormal vibrations from the front drive unit. I don’t have that issue.

Are you suggesting the vibration issue and the Top speed limited to 114 are unrelated?

Just FYI, in case you haven't tried it... My custom light shows constantly disappear, but when I do a screen restart by holding the steering wheel buttons, they come back. They used to disappear when updates occurred, but now they just randomly disappear sometimes, but the restart has always brought them back.

I love my light shows, except the more recent Star Wars one. WOW!! It is amazing!

Sadly rebooting doesn't work for me to fix it.

So if my Beast is limited to 114mph, your saying it’s a hardware issue and Tesla never informed any of the Beast owners about this? I have been waiting four months for a software update but all I need is a new front drive unit.

I made a service appointment today for this issue, the wiper motor and the rear sails. I will see what they say in about a month at my appointment. Unfortunately I am sure if they confirm a new drive unit is needed, it will not be swapped out until closer to thanksgiving as the service center here is over a month out for new appointments. I just don’t see them being proactive and ordering the new drive unit until they check it out first.
