Top Speed Beast Mode

Does anyone have knowledge of whom to contact to assist in writing(changing) the top speed of 130 to my desired speed of 148 MPH? I Reside a half mile from the track here in Alaska. If anyone has a contact for the download/update that would be required to change those parameters, please let me know.

Have you heard of this being an option. Tesla has said that the lower top speed on the truck is because the final drive ratio is lower than any other Tesla. Between its higher weight and extra towing capacity they need lower gearing.

The plaid models offer a higher top speed because they have a carbon composite wrap around the rotor. That extra support allows the motor to spin faster without delaminating/destroying itself.

If we apply that knowledge to the truck, I’d assume motor rpm is the limiting factor and we know the truck’s gearing is lower so it should have lower top speed.

Side note: I’d assume you would either need the Tesla toolbox (which you can borrow from any Tesla service center) or know someone that can hack the ECU.

The speed limited issue has been resolved.
I ordered a Plaid with track package.
