Without that limited it would be interesting to see what the physical limit actually is. My guess is somewhere between 160 and 170, but that's just a guess...
The team of designers spoke briefly on this. They intimated that the tire composition was their limiting factor for both integrity and grip in the size combo they are using.

I hope you guys were wearing helmets during this run.

So if my Beast is limited to 114mph, your saying it’s a hardware issue and Tesla never informed any of the Beast owners about this? I have been waiting four months for a software update but all I need is a new front drive unit.

I made a service appointment today for this issue, the wiper motor and the rear sails. I will see what they say in about a month at my appointment. Unfortunately I am sure if they confirm a new drive unit is needed, it will not be swapped out until closer to thanksgiving as the service center here is over a month out for new appointments. I just don’t see them being proactive and ordering the new drive unit until they check it out first.
That is correct. It is a hardware issue that requires a replacement of the front drive unit.

Thanks. I read that you also had issues with abnormal vibrations from the front drive unit. I don’t have that issue.

Are you suggesting the vibration issue and the Top speed limited to 114 are unrelated?
I’m not sure if the two are related but seems like there is a batch of bad motors /inverters on beast units. Keep in mind that beast units make up a small fraction of the 30k CT’s produced.

I’m not sure the root cause of the pinging / vibration issue but Tesla engineering did confirm that the issue with the top speed in the cyber beast was due to a board issue on the inverter of the front drive unit which requires a total replacement of the drive unit

Okay so it sounds like you’re certain that they could not simply replace the board without replacing the entire drive unit…I’ll see what my SC thinks about this and report back. Thanks again.

Correct because the inverter and drive unit are one integrated piece

isn’t the IC Board the issue? Why could that not be replaced? It is essentially bolted onto the drive unit.

They may do this back at the factory, but why have techs that know how to do that when they can just send an assembly home?

I’ve been able to go 130 in my beast for months now. I still have not received my front drive unit replacement yet, its currently being installed.

Just FYI, in case you haven't tried it... My custom light shows constantly disappear, but when I do a screen restart by holding the steering wheel buttons, they come back. They used to disappear when updates occurred, but now they just randomly disappear sometimes, but the restart has always brought them back.

I love my light shows, except the more recent Star Wars one. WOW!! It is amazing!
I took delivery of my beast on Saturday! Wow! Freaking WOW
