Idk he was definitely holding it on the way up and down.

Maybe like a soft close mechanism and not a totally powered frunk?

Woo! Looks definitely like a power frunk open and close. As he pulls down on it slightly to get the motor to activate the downward motion...works just like my model y trunk. ?
I watched Brad's video on my larger monitor and it definitely looks like a soft-touch close. I think it would be nice if they had a button in the frunk to close the hood but this is just fine with me.

I wonder, if it is in fact electric close, if for reach reasons... you just hit the open button to close it again.

It looks to be a soft open and close frunk. Letā€˜s remember Tesla does NOT have a powered frunk on any other vehicle I doubt they will have one on the CT. I don’t like it but video seems to prove disappointing.

the main q-n is.. where are they shipping them? could they be shipping them to their centers across the country so next day after announcement we get to see them on streets? and twitter get flooded with videos, that would be ass-kicking free advertising! (not that CT needs any)

He gives it a tug, then it closes on its own. I don’t think we can rule out powered frunk just yet. If anything, this seems to suggest it may be powered after all.

I really don’t have a position in this one, but for what it’s worth:

to me it *looked* a bit like my Lightning’s behavior when closing absent use of the motor

that Tesla doesn’t have it on other cars may not be informative, as Tesla also doesn’t have another vehicle where reaching the open Frunk lid is difficult for 1/2 the population

im a broken record at reminding: large trucks aren’t merely adding powered hoods/tailgates because tough men have gone soft, but also because trucks are now daily/family drivers used by differently abled people.
