I almost hope it's 70k because a LOT of people will fall off the res list at that rate and I get mine quicker.
Of all the reasons to have a price hike that's probably the worst one to have.

The goal is, and should remain to get as many cars into peoples hands as possible to get ICE of the road.

That’s almost exactly why it’s been rising the last 2 years. That and container costs.

Costs are coming down, including shipping costs. Seems like the peak was sometime early this year. Don’t know if we’ll see 2019 prices again, but inflation is largely stalled and reversing in a lot of cases.

Regardless, the money Tesla gets from the Advanced Materials Manufacturing incentive (or whatever it’s called) will more than make up for inflation over that time.

We are actually stupid close

I knew how to find this info about the inbound press cause one of my business’ is import / export. Containers from china were about 10k a few mo ago. It’s down to low 3k now!

2019 I wasn’t in the business but, I can see it’s not too far off!

if that happens, I will not buy CT....waited too long for CT with 4680s. I will consider different options.....and I guess we still have to. wait on pricing also.....no way to run a railroad......I am getting tired of all this talk. talk and talk from Musk
The 4680 performs the same as 2170s. That said, the Cybertruck is not designed to work with 2170s as far as anything Elon has said, but he's also not said a specific cell type, just that we needed the 4680 at mass production first.

I am not denying this finding, but what if I could show you IDRA has never ever before freighted anything near even 1,000,000 LBS (6K press), however we know there to be several of those. In fact, here's one of the 6K press' BOLs. Surely that aint the whole thing.

By the way I'm water marking shit now. Alex the dude that jacked all my post and claimed to be his own is psychotic lmao

The shipments are broken up.

See attached for a 6K Press shipment. Literally labeled DCM parts even :) Just for you ;)

I'm not sure that response was intended for my comment, regarding you wanting yours earlier, so you want the price to be higher?

The 4680 will be better in many areas, in particular charge/discharge times because of the reduced ohmic heat losses from the shorter tabless design. Plus lighter weight.

Definitely not. But I think if it costs more, it’s not just cause freight/ gross COGs at this point, it’s features.

imagine a dual tri hybrid model that’s 500 miles but not as many motors or something to that affect, that’s where my attention can be ā€œgotā€

I'm not going to lie - seeing that 9k Ton press at Giga Texas may just bring a tear to my eye. Then, it becomes an assembly, testing, producing wait time. I'd bet we see several CTs outside Giga Texas in May... Some order fulfillments in June/July perhaps but not many. Exciting times!

Ya man!! Puuuumped for this

for what it’s worth, lightning produced 8700 last quarter. I bet Tesla blows up to n.1 truck next year.

ā€œit’s late af manā€

People keep talking about how the Cybertruck is ā€œtoo lateā€, as if the trickle of F150s and Rivians is somehow saturated the market. There are fewer than 20,000 electric trucks on the road. I think there is still a bit of time before we can talk about being ā€œtoo lateā€.

Of course the same people who say CT is too late have no similar comments about Toyota, Ram, Nissan, Silverado….

Yeah, I've always said 'we'll see which truck comes first'. I put money down because no one else was willing to take my money. And Ford's offering both closed pre-orders and insulted me with the view-blocking frunk.

There's alot of space left in the market.

I’d venture as far as to say they won’t be considered to be in the same market as this vehicle too

maybe that’s my inner fan boy, but we all expect there to be some stuff going on here that the others don’t actually have. They may have claimed to have had it, but it isn’t there. Probably a big reason Tesla has been lucky to be burdened with the wait. Albeit it’s been a long hard road.

I'm definitely excited to see them. I'm around 250k, where are you?

Regardless of how they work through preorders, or drop off, I'm sure I am not owning my truck til 2024.
49 120 in the trimotor sequence..... if that means anything.
