Don’t see why we‘d need a big “SUV” at all. A van would serve the same purpose and is generally better utility. It’s a weird category which has become popularized because of how big auto responded to new legislation. EVs don’t need to comply with emissions regulations so they don’t need a vehicle designed to bypass them.

For being 'too small' it's kinda dominating SUV sales.

not because it is a seven-seater. It is too small if you need something to move 7 adults or teens around.
Or 5 kids with car seats? It is impossible to have 5 car seats in model Y.
Therefore Taho is the most sellable SUV for 7-8 seater.
But even Taho is too small for my family and I decided to take a Wagoneer L. Did not even consider MY or MX (they are all way too small)

At least you are doing your bit too against population collapse. Leads back to my argument we should only really have two types of vehicles, vans and tandem two seater tadpole trikes.

They bypassed most safety regulation for the longest time as well. Still do, to a point.

Cybervan? Yes! That’s what I rather have. A van is a pickup truck that has a cover over the load. That makes it secure from people and the elements.

If they build this, it would sell... no doubt about it.

Having 4 children, and a pet, I'd definitely welcome decently-spaced-3rd row and that way can forget about suburban, expedition, and the over-expensive sequoia....

How many did they sell in 2021 and how long was the wait list? Seems like their constraint isn't demand.

-Crissa
Try to buy a Toyota hybrid, either Highlander, Siena, or Rav4. The waitlist is about 8-12 months.

So long you have one child that is big enough to sit in the front where there is three seats, you can put three car seats in the back row, and the pet in the heated, cooled and closed in vault bed.
In Australia you aren't allowed to have a pet in the back unrestrained any more, so technically they need their own seat now with a harness.

The last time I heard about the IRA was when they were in the business of just blowing up buses. But the strategy changed since the last guy who tried burnt his lips on the exhaust pipe. Oldie but goodie. :ROFLMAO:
