This is why car companies try to keep their pre production testing secret. Queue up the mainstream media now, "Cybertruck needs ramp to climb curb, 'kinda wimpy.'"

Here's a better video from that What's Inside guy. I think think this CT is fitted with street tires rather than ATs. I believe this is their main "press" vehicle which is why the team is very gentile with it - hence the ramps. Otherwise, obviously the truck would have no problem climbing the curb.

I agree, there's no way a "Baja Tough". The tires were filled with Water7.

Agreed. That was not meant to impress people but obviously haters are gonna make fun of the ramp. A few counter points to that are:

The ramp was probably needed for the M3, MY
It could be protecting some landscaping feature
That's is $$$$ prototype for show

All that said, I wouldn't mind at some point seeing videos of CT's getting put through the ringer on test tracks/courses.

The ramps probably had more to do with not scuffing up the curbs at the new facility. I have had owners make the Contractors clean tires marks up before OPS turnover, for example.

This was my take also, some sort of mitigation to protect landscape, curbs, walkways................

2 things.
1. The ramp was probably so the Cybertruck didn't absolutely crush the curb! LOL
2. I'm confused about the video quality. Why was this video NOT shot using a potato? I mean, I'm used to seeing videos and pics of the Cybertruck all blurry. I mean, kudos on swinging the camera around like a drunken sailor but still, the quality is good enough to actually be able to grab screen shots.

Was this at the new engineering HQ at the old HP office? EM said they'd have a CT to look at there. Hopefully we get more pics.

Every new video I see of this looks better and better. I'm absolutely salivating for this. I'm in the minority I'm sure, but I prefer those wheels to the aero covers. Can't wait for my number to be called.
