Haha, it's the original prototype unfortunately. Looks so much better than the new ones haha, although I do like the fully lit front light bar on the new one. I hope they are not done redesigning the body - very much want the final design to be better looking than this original.Aren't we going to pick this snippet of CT info to death?
- I didn't see a wiper. Good they got rid of that ugly wiper and went with lasers.
- Looks like hub caps are on.
- Is this the original prototype?
- I can see the midgate folds down!
- Why are there only 3 cupholders?
- There are no mirrors. Obviously Tesla found a way to get around them.
- It won't be able to do that with a snowplow on it. I hate it!
An edit to my post since I actually like a lot more about the new one than I dislike.Haha, it's the original prototype unfortunately. Haha love the creativity! Now let's invent us a way for Tesla to keep these five things true to the original! I suppose we could all name our trucks Lucy, but just in case we'd like some options lol"Things I'm sad about that come to mind"
- That dang wiper - Handy for road rage protection
- The curved glass at the top - Fat people can just roll off
- The missing light bar at the top - It's a Light Saber Now
- The more curved front end - More feminine if you name your car Lucy
- The potentially smaller bed - Most people can sleep in it.
Bored ! lol
tell me youve never been off road without telling me youve never been off roadThe clearance to the front tires is insane!! Looks like you could approach and climb a 90 degree wall just about...
Regarding Showplow.... since it can have a 2 inch receiver, it can handle a snowplow - on the Back ---- drive in reverse and plow watching the rear view screen. I do this with my 2017 Model X. It works great ! Everyone stares and applauds!Aren't we going to pick this snippet of CT info to death?

Just googling… the Model S is $90,000 and Plaid is $130,000I just wonder how the plaid version will differ (larger bed? Different windshield mechanics? Rocket turret option??)
Monroe said he thinks CT will have the plaid motors, he didn't specify if that was going to be in a Plaid CT or not. I don't think the first quad CT will be the plaid model, but I do think it will have the MS plaid motors.Just googling… the Model S is $90,000 and Plaid is $130,000
What makes Plaid worth so much more ? I'm not sure. I think the greater portion is the customer paying a premium for the leading edge tech.
I also don't understand Munro stating the Cybertruck will be Plaid.
Which doesn't make sense/conflicts when Musk says he is making Cybertruck Plaid first.
So, there has to be a point of difference to other trucks!
Which means Munro is wrong? The Plaid will come out first and cost at least $40,000 more than the Tri because it's Plaid. I've never seen Musk turn down a dollar !
Following that, we may have a standard 4 motor replacing the TRI, maybe with $10 grand added. Or possibly not. Have to wait and see.
Did not say this.Which doesn't make sense/conflicts when Musk says he is making Cybertruck Plaid first.
We really don’t know.ahhh
I am mistaken,,,, Rapt. I replaced Quad with Plaid in my head.
Perhaps Sandy is right.
As you say, Tri is already $20,000 more, and maybe with mass production that's close.
Now I can look forward to the hopefully affordable quad.
