Sure would love to have lifetime supercharging, even though I charge 90% at home as I have lots of solar but having this would motivate me to use the truck for road trips for sure.
We have lifetime on wife's Model X and use it for roadtrips.
Really wish it came with the CT. I'd even pay $1k to add it right now just to have it for future use.

I'm not so sure at the math that creates 20*22=300, 'cause in my world 22*20 is 440.

I just got the roof and windshield Tesla-endorsed Xpel ceramic tinted. Wow, does it make a HUGE DIFFERENCE in the inside temp and heat load!!!! Even when the car is just sitting.
That’s one of those Owners Club member inside suggestions … plus no more off gas particles on the windshield… haven’t cleaned it since!
Oh! If you all do get the tint done make sure they know how to not break the clips on the headliner… the Tesla service center and the Tinter broke them resulting in irritating rattle.
Easy fish when the wheel covers or a recall is being fixed at a service visit but not fun until then.
-VIN
I’ll have to google it. Tint is a tricky thing as a lot of states have different laws about how dark is too dark…it’s a common thing that gets ticketed in my neck of the woods. I imagine that’s why they send out the CyberOven as is…impossible to comply with 50 different state laws easily.

Looks like us early adopters got stiffed again.

Inventory FS trucks now get lifetime supercharging. Sigh.

Gf2Mwv8WMAAixuE.jpeg
Believe it or not, I’ve had my cyber truck since the end of August then pretty much charge daily using the level one mobile charger (at 120V) that came with the FS package!

Not a big loss here… Though I have used the supercharger network when traveling about!

good for them, but I’m not mad about it.
Tesla is a business and I will not fault them for getting a bump in the last few days of the quarter & calendar year!

I would give back my $2500 voucher spending I had to use on overpriced items I will most likely not use for the supercharging.

Something to keep in mind is that you lose the $2500 voucher which I was originally expecting, for the Free Supercharging. So the folds who did not get free supercharging for life would have to have driven at least 20,000+ miles via supercharging before it made up for the $2500 difference.

$2500/$0.30/kWh = 8333 kWh / 385 Wh/mi = 21,645 miles.

Keep that in mind when your upset about losing the free supercharging incentive.

The real solution for anyone super-upset is to buy a second Foundation Series truck, and sell your first one if you're really upset about it. :D

Apparently, SoCal is the worst (I have SDGE). I moved here from Aptos and noticed how expensive it is.
I have SDGE also. The EV-TOU-5 rate charges 0.15 between midnight and 6am. If you can charge at 48A, 40kwh is back in your batteries in under 3.5hrs and costs you 6 bucks/30 bcuks for the whole week if you commute daily. If you can only handle 32A, you still fit in the super off-peak window (5.6hr)

0.15? No idea how that’s even possible. My super off-peak is .414. Here is what I see:

I pray they expand this to all existing!!! I use this as a moving/hauling vehicle and that would benefit tremendously!!!! It would be absolutely horrible to cut us out on it now!

Where does $0.30/kWh come from? Even my super off-peak pricing is $0.414. For me, I’d break even with $2500 on my electric bill after only 4 months.

It really depends on where you live, I gave an "average" supercharger pricing based on what I typically see. Most are in the 30-40c range and in california peak pricing as much as $0.50 or $0.55. But you could see as low as $0.23 in the wee hours near Mission Viejo & San Juan Capistrano since you're in San Diego.

Looks like your TOU-EV-5 plan is down to $0.124 / kWh in off peak and $0.248 on the TOU-EV-2

Looks like you have no TOU plan (Time of Use). Top of your bill on that page should state "rate" and then what plan you are using, mine says "EVTOU5-Residetial". For electric delivery this costs:
On-peak: 0.28
Off-peak: 0.28
Super off-peak: 0.05

But you'll need to add the Electric Generation values also:
On-peak: 0.16
Off-peak: 0.11
Super off-peak: 0.06

So totals (not counting fixed cost charges):

On-peak: 0.44
Off-peak: 0.39
Super off-peak: 0.11 (so actually less than I thought)

This is on the winter bill, the summer is different (on-peak in the summer is quite expensive but I don't have the numbers handy). With on-peak time running between 4-9pm you will want to manage your power during that time as it comes at a premium (summer HVAC!) but an EV is easily the biggest electric consumer in your house so prioritize your SDGE plan for that. You can call them and let them project how much you could have saved given your last year's electric usage.

I used to live in Massachusetts and pay these ridiculous rates some are quoting ($6-800 electric bills and my heat/cooktop/fireplace were all natural gas), I wouldn’t own an electric car if my rates were that high. Live in GA now everything is electric including my 2 cars, pool, heat, A/C, guest house and I average about $250 a month. My house is 1500 sq ft bigger too. I paid more than $250 just for the gas car I got rid of. Think I’m at 7-11 cents per KW plus the delivery charges are minimal, in MA the delivery and taxes were over $100 a month. I don’t miss living in a blue state at all.
