You guys are making this far too complicated. All the reservation holder have to do is have a side agreement with someone else that they will pay for the required deposits and final payment . The original reservation holder simply buys a CYBER TRUCK and hands over to the second party under the contract when was delivered. Some risk….not much if the second party is credit worthy.
And possibly Federal Tax credits, too.

I can't wait any longer, is there anyone who wants to buy contract? I am pretty close to the top.
I actually started message last week if someone on the top was willing to trade places. I'm not sure sure if that is permissible in the contract with tesla. But, you're selling tho.

drafting what people are supposed to do is the easy part

drafting effective consequences when people don’t do what they’re supposed to do? that’s the hard parr

Enforcing those consequences, swiftly or without significant cost? That’s the “aw fuck” part

I worry actually about being a day one reservation holder. Elon has openly admitted that buying a new model during ramp is a terrible idea as bugs / kinks are bountiful. But the real treasure is the locked in FSD price so I'm gonna hold steady and hope for the best.

Okay, l'll bite!
How close to the top? If over 75K, l won't even bother Brother! Besides, 50K to 75K could be the 'sweet spot' for Tesla, in their CT ramp, ironing out design/production 'kinks'.
Thanks in advance from DownUnder!

hmmm interesting thought.. just cause we all have time and are a bit board... wouldn't be hard for tesla to figure the "Verified share holder" field into the reservation queue to figure out who gets a vehicle when.. and i do mean that in a model agnostic way.. so share holders move to the front of whatever queue they are in IF they meet all other requirements for that group of res numbers.

How will that even work? Your reservation is tied to your name. How do you "sell it"?
Lmao that's what I was thinking. There is basically nothing in place except for your reservation number linked to your deposit which is at the same time linked to your information, as someone very familiar to procurement i dont exactly know how can you even sell this

AFAIK the only way to "sell" a reservation is to go through with the sale as a "straw purchaser" on behalf of the designated owner. Tesla will not know or care to whom the vehicle is ultimately registered.

However, the new owner will probably not want the original reservation holder to retain remote access to their vehicle via the app. Tesla will know what you did as soon as you transfer the online access.

As in the past Tesla will require a much more substantial down payment when it gets closer to production. I would have the person that is buying this Tesla directly from you under a contract make that payment. If he doesn’t honor the contract he’s out the 15 to 20% down payment. Any plus or minus tax benifit issues can be worked out in the contract.

With that said…ANYONE THAT HAS A NUMBER OVER 50,000 AND LESS THAN 300,000, giving Tesla a chance to work out manufacturing bugs, WOULD BE A DAMN FOOL FOR SELLING THEIR PLACE IN LINE

I'm in that group (130K ish) but I remember Elon saying when asked when he thought the best time to buy a new model? He said either get one of the early production runs or, after production reaches scale would be his choice. This indicates that early production units will get a very high level of QC and that will loosen up as production speeds up. I know Elon says a lot of off the cuff shite but that comment made sense to me.

@paul jeffries , looks like you got 57 replies to your offer and you have yet to reply...

Spambot? Tesla Spy? Or are you really trying to get rid of your reservation? ?

My thoughts exactly. Just get a lawyer to write up a contract between you two that says you will buy it off the original person if they buy it from Tesla. Have whatever requirements and stipulations you can both agree on written into it.

That's how it would work. But I don't think there will actually be much of this. The early discussions of doing this on here are mostly bluster and wishful thinking that won't get acted upon.
