Was it worth the overall size reduction in your opinion so that it fits in a garage

It maybe that the gate tilts downward ( to ack as the ramp) and allows for better access to the middle of the bed. I too am very disappointed in the size of the frunk. I looked at the lightning with envy.
Ah yeah! FRUNKENVY
Best NOT look at your neighbours' Frunk when at the Stall (Charging)

Were the size sacrifices worth it?
In New Orleans if you park a vehicle outside there is a high risk your windows will be broken and your vehicle looted by fine upstanding young men. Even armor glass will smash if hit hard enough.
I actually believe likely the Cybertruck will attract vandalism so being able to fit in my drive behind eight foot height fence lined with sharpened steel plates is appreciated.

My aunt lived in Nigeria for a long time. She said that people would park their cars in locked garages, surrounded by very high and strong fences that were topped by razor wire. But still their cars were getting stolen. Something about the vehicles getting lifted over the fence and driven away.... Not sure how they accomplished that. Clearly, if that is possible, parking your CT in your described situation won't fully protect it. Better get a moat with crocodiles. Add a maze of confusion. And perhaps some poison darts that shoot at anything that moves...

So far, for 12 years the Model S has been safe behind the high fence. My son, who doesn’t have as high a fence doesn’t leave his car locked, so they can ricks through it without having to smash the glass. Teslas are at a disadvantage in that they can be left unlocked.

For a while I owned an old dilapidated car. It was an early '80s 2-door Honda Prelude with biohazard signs and lightning bolts painted on it. Had no heater core so the natural fresh air from outside used to whip through the cabin like a hurricane. Plus it had no key. Instead someone had just hot-wired it and put in a push button switch to start the car. And the doors had no locks. I bought it in this condition for about $300.

Anyway, I got tired of not having any sound so I bought a small boom box to sit in the front seat so I would have something to listen to. And I lived in a tiny apartment with only street parking so it was always parked on a busy street right out front.

One morning I woke up to go to work and the boom box was gone. I though that was interesting but I went to start the car and noticed that all the hot wiring electrical wires had been pulled out from below the dash and were messed up. Seems some idiot tried to hot-wire the car to start it, failed, and in the end just absconded with the boom box. I had a laugh because if they had just pushed the button that some of the wires were running to, the car would have just started for them. And with a stolen car, I could have possibly gotten my $300 back from insurance instead of the $50 I eventually got when I sold it for scrap metal. Oh well.

TLDR:
All that to say, don't underestimate the level of stupidity that the thief might have. Just cause you left the doors unlocked to prevent glass breakage, doesn't mean the thief will try the doors before they go ahead and break the windows.

For all those who were worried about fitting their CT into their garages... Why not just get the bigger CT and park it like this?

Tesla Cybertruck So the Cybertruck fits in a garage (at under 19ft long)... But was the size reduction worth it for you? 1691112488634

That’s very true. Long term New Orleans residents we’ve experienced every form of criminal stupidly; all you can do is minimize, not eliminate risk.

they'd have to be able to run farther and faster than I can.
In my case that would be nearly everyone that is mobile enough to get close enough to my vehicle to break in.

oh that’s a good point!

I’m also firmly in the camp of leaving my truck unlocked

if thieves think they can mess up my truck more than my children already do, they’re welcome to try

but a broken window is a buzz kill

the CT’s special and presumably double-the-cost glass, would also double the buzz kill …
