So shiny ✨ It is jewelry for dudes.
I always thought it's design reminds me of a high end 'Jewellery Box' but you know it's what's on the inside that really matters.

Ok what truck is this that the CT is passing? Seems about the same, from this angle.

It's interesting that the Cybertruck has a window or windows open in so many of the shoots we've seen. Perhaps the air conditioning hasn't been installed yet in these ones? Though that would be a bit surprising if they are RCs.

This is not a great perspective, however.

I think you're looking at it wrong. On the top, notice the darkened area of the glass. That's where the regular windscreen bit ends, so on the driver side the gigawiper wipes well past that. On the passenger side I believe the yellow lines contain the inside of the A-pilar, so is also not visible (compare to the same area on the driver side).

This would surprise me a lot. Maybe PLD glass but I don't think we're getting electrochromic glass. Just don't think the tech is there yet. Maybe in 5 years.

Maybe it looks like this? Or maybe you can just install this if you want…

Smart Tint Privacy Film

Comes in 48v, opaque when powered off, clear when powered on. So you could wire it to the CT, when you ”start” the CT, it would go from opaque to clear!

Imagine this pulling up outside a Pub in the Australian Outback......it's gonna burn an impression on your mind.

A film product that lays on the inner surface of the vehicle glass pane might not be optimal because it might be easy to damage. Office building windows usually don't have people (especially children or pets) in close proximity. I also did not see any solar conversion to electricity with Smart Tint brand product.

A solar-cell/tint layer could one of the layers laminated inside armor glass pane.

NREL's SwitchGlaze Technology: A Window to the Future
Did you know...residential and commercial buildings use nearly 75% of all electricity in the United States? According to the U.S. Department of Energy, the heat generated by sunlight shining through windows is the single largest contributor to the need for air conditioning and cooling…straining the power grid and costing us more money. But what if we could transform these buildings from energy consumers to energy generators? NREL’s SwitchGlaze technology could be the solution. These dynamic windows provide comfort to occupants and clean electricity to our buildings while reducing the need for air conditioning.

4.
It will be cost efficient. The cost of adding SwitchGlaze solar cell layers to traditional windows is predicted to be a fraction of the cost, which could be cancelled out by solar energy payback. The most expensive parts of conventional rooftop solar panels, the glass that encapsulates the panel and the transparent metals, are already in standard high-performance windows. In addition, because of their ability to tint, SwitchGlaze windows may save on building cooling costs in the summer.

@cvalue13 have you or anyone else made any extrapolated pixel measurements from the Joe Tegtmeyer's overhead shot with the covered Cybertruck sitting next to a Model Y to calculate an estimated Cybertruck length?

We know the Model Y is 187 inches long so my pixel measurements of the below image come up with 588 pixels for the Model Y and 673 pixels for the Cybertruck, which would make it about 214 inches or 17.83 feet. However, this could be a little off due to the shot not being exactly overhead, as it's taken slightly from the front.

I was hoping to get someone else's collaborative estimate though. Have you done any other Cybertruck length estimates with imagery?
