I'm not sayin they should not. It is a truck after all. Just curious, you dont look like that by carrying lumber.

I'm just curious what cargo they've been carrying back there to get it that filthy.
Having lived in Cali for years, I believed simply driving it around Cali's polluted environment with the vault opened, will get it that dirty...?

Seats fold up, and the entire back with window swings inward into the cabin. Keeps the seats clean, and the tonneou cover can bend in that direction.

Why do those sidewalls look like they're at an angle?

No access or HVAC from cabin to vault

no rolling window, no midgate, no pass-through

just truck
Considering it has large castings, structural pack, and stainless outer panels (exosupport), what is the biggest barrier to the rear window going down or midgate?

If the rumors of 124kWh battery pack are true, we are coming in below 400 miles (probably 350-370 mi). We haven't seen a lot of power plugs in the bed (maybe a small box for 2 plugs) or frunk, smaller frunk, 2.5 seats in the rear, no midgate, no opening rear window or tailgate ramp (or some type of innovative feature)...... the silverado ev is going to be a more functionable product (if they dont go bankrupt).

I’d guess, roughly:

COGS vs COGM vs [utility to customer] vs [consequences to product]

where:

COGS = ~target market MSRP of CT

COGM = ~assembly and materials OpEx

[utility 2 c] = : ~how many folks will actually use it (and be willing to pay for it)

[consequences] = ~ eg added weight, reduced range, effect on crashworthiness, effect on repair costs, etc., etc.,

in all, basically, “juice not worth the squeeze”
