How do you know the rear window doesn’t go down? I thought that was one of the last big mysteries.

they say the rear window goes down

But it does not

little else of what was accurately said in that spaces hasn’t already been as good as verified around here, if watched carefully.

all one would need to do is read this forum critically, then go on spaces an anonymously say you rode in a CT to arrive at these ‘scoops’

the resulting irony: when it’s said here on the forum it generates broad skepticism (understandably); when it’s said on xwitter spaces, it generates impression money

go figure

Dude on the spaces who said he rode the truck: Please don't share what I said in this space on X, etc.

Matt McHyphenator: HERE'S EVERYTHING RANDOM DUDE SAID PLUS MY OWN COMMENTS PLEASE CLICK ON MY CONTENT!!!!!
If someone says anything in spaces, and then says “ don’t tell anybody”, they are a fool . Has nothing to do with the people listening. It’s like standing up to the mic at a football game, giving out a trade secret and asking nobody to share it haha

For sure he's a fool. It's doesn't absolve someone else from being a dick.

That said, how much of what they said is true? 50-75%. Because the info is what I am interested in.. dick methods to share, of course, but I kinda don’t care. I want my awesome truck [in 3 years] haha

If it were just about anyone but MDR I might at least consider it but that guy has 'called it' and been completely wrong before so I cannot take it seriously. If fact, I am kind of pissed that anyone would repost anything he says here.

There have been no signs of a run channel that would suggest a powered backglass. Only visible holes in the back panel (about 6 to 10) suggest the locations for bolts and guide pins/clips.

The tonneau cover will be serviced/replaced by removing the front bed panel and the front floor, possibly after removing the inner bedsides. I've seen others mention that the two square holes in the back panel are for servicing the tonneau cover but there would be nothing in these areas to service if you think through how they've designed the system. The mechanisms for the tonneau cover would be at the outer portions of the bed. The skeleton photos suggest that the rear seatbacks can be folded down, as well as the cushions folded up, based on the hinges that can be seen. I still have hopes that these "service ports" are actually air ducts. But... all should be revealed soon enough, or not soon enough, depending on how you look at it... haha

carpeted floors would suck..... rubber mats are the only way to go.
You have time in a bottle, so start getting your rubber would ducks in a back seat row, planed out before delivery day!
But l agree, carpets don't fly for all CT owners. Imagine the after market for this Mothership!

Someone who got to test drive a cybertruck talked about it on a twitter spaces gave some interesting feedback

Here is the link . The discussion about the cybertruck starts about 2:00:30 in.

A few takeaways

He drove a TRI motor called it the plaid

"the frunk is fucking huge" he was able to lay down in it and he is 5 foot 7. Any concerns about the frunk being small are wrong.

Said the ride quality was similar to the model X plaid which he owns but more cushy.

Said was very smooth and luxurious inside.

I´m still listening but there is a lot more.

CybertruckX user on twitter had a good summary,

"1. Tri-motor Plaid Powertrain:The CyberTruck will probably deliver Tri Motor featuring a powerful tri-motor Plaid powertrain first. Ensuring impressive performance.

2. Frunk and Bed: Convenience- Both the frunk and Bed cover are equipped with powered open/close mechanisms, enhancing user convenience.

3. Spacious Interior:Despite its robust exterior, the Cybertruck boasts a surprisingly spacious interior. Even managed to fit comfortably in the frunk at 5'7'' person.

4. Remote Tailgate Operation: The tailgate can be opened remotely, although it doesn't offer remote closure functionality.

5. Innovative Features:The Cybertruck comes with a 240-volt outlet and may have the capability for bi-directional charging, indicating advanced technological features.

6. Comfortable Ride:Compared to the Model X Plaid, the CyberTruck feels "more cushy", providing a comfortable and smooth ride experience.

7. Interior Quality:The interior of the Cybertruck is impeccably finished, similar to the high standards set by the Model X.

8. Quiet and Plush:Inside, the Cybertruck offers a serene environment with minimal noise, providing a luxurious and plush ambiance.

9. Handling and Steering:The turning radius of the Cybertruck is similar to the Model X. Additionally, the 4-wheel steering system operates automatically, enhancing maneuverability.

10. Additional Details:There are no plans for a 6-seat version of the Cybertruck, and unfortunately, specific price or range details couldn't be provided by the person who test drove."

Yeah, said I didn't believe his Giga Austin info on the reddit group and he got pretty defensive. :) The notion that executives would find him and share detailed information with him just seemed off to me. I've worked with some large companies engineers and executives and they are pretty damn good about not talking out of school. There's the occasional "rogue" engineer who wants to share cool stuff when they recognize a fellow person who just loves cool engineering, but its not common. Certainly not executives.
