Huh?

A loadpath is like a set of navigation directions, like your car satnav.

From here, to here, to here etc. Along the path the force (or load) travels.

Or is it classified "Top Secret" or "your eyes only" or something?
The castings transfer loads to the skins. The skins act as a flex structure, and redistribute energy back and stiffen things. This isn't some crazy science.

Nah, that could be an early prototype that they abandoned to make the mid gate...... :devilish:

Or maybe it's a fake they made to throw us off......
It sounds like mid gate is the new religion. It is impossible to convince a mid-gater mid-gate does not exist. Before you know it, any post on mid-gate will be deleted by admin.

No, no, no... The castings transfer the load down to the battery pack, then the skin transfers the weight at the bottom of the battery pack back up to the tops of the castings. It's like perpetual motion man

I spy with my little eye a symmetical firewall, I’m sure there were pictures of the firewall with holes only in the left hand side and none for a right hand drive version ??.

How dare you... Midgate being a religion is far from politics. Admin would have killed midgate long ago if midgate had become political.

Calm down y'all, Nov 30th is coming, we will find out soon enough. No need to stress out about it. The CT is real. :)

It’s the mid gate gate thread. Sigh.
What did you expect? This is the Cybertruck Owners Midgate Club after all...

The CT in a garage crowd got traction... Why not the midgate?

Once they introduced the sliding vault cover the midgate was never an option.

I hope the vault cover is reliable and nice quality.

I know you're half joking, but what the structure on the CT is basically that.

have to admit, I see where you’re coming from, but I also understand where @JBee is coming from

That said, what you’re describing I believe can only possible with two panels: the rear quarter panels. The hood, tailgate, and doors are out for obvious reasons. The front QPs don’t really attach to the casting enough or in spots that they are relevant.

And this sort of makes since from perspective of ā€˜truck stuff’ - the rigidity is needed in the rear, not the front.

And as for the two rear quarterpanels, I’ve previously put @JBee into just barely enough of a box to sort of kind of admit that it might be possible there depending on how and where exactly the rear QPs are attached

Until there’s a tear down of those rear QPs, really one guess is as good as any other.
