As I said before, but it seems dead horses MUST be beaten, there is NO Midgate. Get over it. You can dream of Midgate in Cybertruck v2.0

Funny, I watch that video and cringe at the idea of a midgate, but instead what jumps out at me is the very full-sized truck size of that back seat and leg room:

I see the legroom but think the front seats were pushed all the way forward so the camera could get better views.

Nah man, already accounting for seat position in my comment

those front seats are in the roughly neutral position - about where mine (but in F150) sit for everyday driving (and I’m 6’3”) - maybe an inch or two up at most

roughly knowable in these pics from the fact that the rearmost portion of the console at the floor is generally in ~line with the backs of the front seats when in the neutral position

if the seats were pushed all the way back, the rearmost portion of the seat cushion would go just past the rearmost edge of the B-pillar - and my feet would strain to reach the pedals

if the seats were pushed all the way forward, it’s be just in line with or ahead of the front most edge of the b-pillar - not far from where my (5’3”) wife drives

these back seats in modern full-sized SCREWS are massive

It can be spelled “Super Crew” but the problem with that is it doesn’t sound funny in your head
If it doesn't sound funny in @CyberGus head, what would the rest of us do for entertainment. I've been transfixed by the voices in his head for quite a while. Better than daytime TV.

And free! (At least that's what the voices tell me)

When Kyle from Out of Spec was reviewing the Silverado I was puzzled by WHY it had such massive leg room in the rear?!? and thinking to myself that I'd prefer more bed length than an extra foot of rear leg room, but this video explains it. The leg room was essential to get the mid-gate to work.

A cluster of evidence below which taken together suggests the midgate is a no-go
Agree but dude, you wrote 2,000 words. You can see in the picture there is no way to crawl from the cab to the bed.

it’s also just spec to competition in this segment

these back seat dimensions have become a far more key piece of spec to competition than bed length

in any event, the Silverado offers a true 6.5’ bed, apparently - all before a midgate

The measurement I read said 5' 11" bed. (?)

I am not in the target demographic where rear seat leg room holds much sway. I went from a Mini Cooper (where the back seats didn't have ankle room) to a Model 3 that so rarely has any human occupants that I never opted to activate the rear seat heater. If the dogs want a warm seat, THEY can come up with the $300. 🐶🐕🐕‍🦺🥶

If this level of rear leg room competition heats up, I'd imagine a pick up some day will come out with a 3rd row. 😳
