Feeling annoyed and crotchety. :p

For a given value of 'happy', I'd have been happy with a Tri priced at anything under about $92k. Ah well.

I don't know, I think having a fully customizable vehicle sounds pretty rad. The range extender might be something that can be rented/shared owners when needed. Less weight when you don't need the range. Maybe it doubles as a baby powerwall in other uses?
I think this is installed at the service center and is not a DIY thing.

Because no one cares after hearing the price and range.
Was there at least the speculated-on Roadster 2 announcement?

If not, what was the 'something else'...was there anything?

Congratulations! If you have a reservation number over about #150,000, you just moved up TWO spaces! (Mid and high level)

My cancellations were based on two primary factors:

1. The expected Range of the truck is hugely disappointing, especially when compared to what was teased in 2019.

2. Elon Musk doesn't have his head in the company anymore and he's proved just how off-the-rails he really is as demonstrated by his acquisitions and actions over the past couple of years.

Bye, bye.

I ordered again today. I will get the AWD Dual Motor 340 Mile Range ASAP meaning sometime in 2024. I don't care which reservation hits first as long as it's in 2024 ... I'm in.
I did the same thing. They pulled this before where they prioritized people that placed new orders so let’s see. I wonder why FSD was not an option?

If you are going truly off road adventuring, you'll need that big range extender, the full size spare and the air compressor..... there goes your bed space.
$16,000 range extender
_$1,250 spare tire
__$550 compressor
$ 17,800 total

I’m pretty bummed about the price also but Tesla isn’t a non-profit. They have billions invested in the development and production of this truck. If they honored the original price they’d be like Ford and selling them at a loss forever. Elon has already said it’d take them 18 months to even start making a profit. Profit is the point. Not customer loyalty.
"ABSOLUTE BAIT AND SWITCH" (There was no unforeseen circumstances that just doubled the price and cut off all the bells and whistles originally promised).

First off, Ford is still around and doing well so standing by their original promise gave them credibility if anything. Regarding Tesla, I can't help but feel without exception to have been duped in an "intentional bait and switch". The price was advertised starting at approx $35,000 base model and is now over $60k!

What should be done "Legally" is to obligate Musk to stand by his quoted price for those who provided deposits at that time and "not forever to everyone", just those who bought into the lie. Just to be clear, I make between $250k-$350k annually so it's not a matter of not being able to afford it, it's a matter of truth, transparency, and obligation to your loyal customers (especially those like myself who have had not just one deposit but 3 deposits on every model waiting for one to be released (anyone) since 2019)! Not to mention there are now a lot of EV Trucks that have been released and more to release since that time many showing far more bells and whistles.

Did anyone see the latest car show where another company showed what I swear was a complete rip-off of the Cybertruck? The Exterior was nearly the same except they did use some rounded-off panels and the interior was far more plush than the Cybertruck. Now imagine if they hold to Musks original quote or close to it how many of Musks customers they'll end up taking!

I personally have had my eye on the 2024 GMC Hummer, the Dodge Ram Hellcat Truck, and a couple others but I've held out for what I put my deposit down on and this isn't it.

One last note, not only is Musk now asking nearly twice the amount originally quoted, the majority of specs and capabilities don't live up to what they originally were promised (I laughed at how we went from a promise of being "Bullet proof to their new statement of resisting a 70MPH baseball" (Not sure that'll hold up to a High School Foul Ball...lol) and to top it off they are now saying all the things we saw on the original cybertruck advertised are now "add-ons" we need to pay extra for so plan on dropping a good hundred-K on just the single motor option if you like the luxury of having all the options advertised or far more if you want to jump into Beast Mode.

I'm on the verge of bailing out myself and just out of spite don't want to buy my wife the Model-S I told her I was going to buy for her to have once we set up our home with a Tesla Power Charging Station. I'm even pissed that I bought all Tesla solar panels now (it's like the Tesla name has just reared its ugly head and I'm not liking what I see as a result which is affecting my whole outlook on everything Tesla).

One thing for sure, I see a lot of others pissed like me feeling the same way so for those of you still holding out who don't mind paying double for half of what was promised, you may get your truck sooner than you think with the vacating of reservations. Good luck guys!

With 1300lb payload
I read: "Powerwall is 250lbs and 14 kWh so a toolbox size would be 500-700lbs."

I calc'd: 43 kWh = (440-320)/2.79

14 kWh * 3 = 42 kWh and
250 lbs * 3 = 750 lbs

Remaining Tesla CT payload estimation ? :
1750 lbs = 2500 lbs - 750 lbs

All of you guys saying that we are crazy for not expecting a price hike. You guys are ridiculous. I could understand a 10% or even a 20% markup, and I would have been okay with that. But 40%! Forget it, only the very rich would be okay with that.

It has been 4 years not a freaking decade. a $30K increase from what they promised is absurd. Enjoy your overpriced polygon. It's a good product but dang $80k for a mid-model that can't get 350 miles of range is a flop . I don't give a crap if it is faster than a Porsche. This is not a utility truck anymore, this just became a luxury vehicle to flash around other trucks, and for that reason, I'm out.
I agree. At this point I wish they would have given us a painted stamped truck meant for utility to take over the largest vehicle market in the us and really make a difference in the carbon emissions. Not an overpriced Porsche buster.
