Founders Series Decliners - What’s Next?

So I got the offer for the Foundation series. And after much thought, I decided to wait and save money….and also get the tax incentive . If I’m early enough reservation to get this invite, then once they produce I should be early to get regular AWD CT right?

But what now? There’s no “decline” option. Or “keep my reservation” option. Just ignore the offer? Any chance we lose our spot?

Foundation series says December to March delivery. Maybe regular production is April and onwards?

I wish Tesla was clearer on this….

I'm in the same situation. I'm not taking the foundation series even though it's a pretty good option if you want FSD and home backup integration (I don't). I'm hoping we don't lose our place in line but if we do, I'll be watching the other manufactures' offerings.

I actually want FSD. But even adding it, it’s still a $20k difference.

If I received an invitation to order a Founders-series truck I wouldn't act on it because its effective cost/features/value doesn't work for me. I'd be Founders Decliner. I want a "regular" Dual Motor version with options selected by me.

But I wouldn't just wonder about whether or not my reservation would be affected by turning down the offer to buy the Founders-series; I'd call the handy phone number on my "Manage Your Reservation" page and ask someone at Tesla for the answer.

So, I'm puzzled; why hasn't that phone call been made by the people who actually are in this position? And, if any of them have done so, why haven't they posted Tesla's answer?

If l was in your shoes, l'd talk to your bank manager! Let's say you do take up the offer, then at some stage decide you can NOT keep it, you're bound to see a small profit. I could be wrong, and this is not financial advice.
Just consider this Foundation Series offer may not come again. Good luck.....

I've been thinking too myself...

I would rather have a regular AWD Cybertruck+Range Extender than a Foundation Series AWD Cybertruck...I think

It seems a poor way to treat the “Founders” who were singled out for the “Edition”.

You should be ok on waiting. You're just first up in line for the Foundation series. You shouldn't lose your place for the regular versions once available just configure then.

Maybe there is a similar policy for annoying customer questions: no answer is the best answer.

Tesla is a well oiled machine but unfortunately, it can't speak for itself. Only the supreme leader has that right.
