EDIT TO ADD: with the above clarifications it appears possible that either we’re seeing an order time clock time out, AND/OR Tesla has reached a Foundarion allotment max and ALL ORDERS, whether or not tranche 1 or 2
Mine is still active/available.

not correct

the source code for trims are already visible, and these things will be in the trucks, whether as standard in Cyberbeast or options in AWD
Wrong. The source code showed the premium wheels/tires were NOT standard for either trim.

Will a founders edition be worth more than a "normal" CT 5 years from now? I am guessing a couple grand at best for the badging notoriety, but not the price spread. The more they produce over 1000 units the less this notoriety is worth. Of course these vanguards do get to enjoy the CT before the riffraff.
Riffraff? What they get to enjoy is early issues and depreciation :) Of course, had I received the offer I’d have joined the club.

Man I hope not. I would hope that people could order a la carte what is important to them.
I think he is wrong on all counts except that the rest of us will be offered a choice of tires (with these being an option)..

So is it looking like Fridays at 9:30 is a thing? Will that be a weekly release of invites as we move through the millions of reservations?

If so I know where I will be with baited breath and a beer every Friday night for some time.

Interesting. I thought I read that dual and tri motor they are standard, but single motor they are not(or not mentioned to be).

Can you link this source code ?

Do you want FSD and will you set up Powershare? If so I think you made the right decision.
Definitely yes on FSD!! Not sure about PowerShare. Need to look into it some more…

Some truth in this but also Elon has said himself the best time to buy in the evolution of their cars is the launch of the vehicle or once its been out for a long time. (paraphrased)
Now is the ideal time to get on board with the Foundation! It's akin to purchasing the latest iPhone right on its release day. By doing so, you ensure that you're equipped with the newest technology for the maximum possible time. If you wait and buy it a month later, you're shortening the duration you have with the latest model. So, to stay ahead with the newest advancements for as long as possible, jumping in early is the key.

But for Tesla, you might be missing out on some key features by jumping in early. The biggest I could think of is the early Model S Plaid missing out on the rotating screen and the ability to use Steam.

Either way, I would love to get the Foundation now, but I am not in the position financially ready nor am I in the geographical area for launch vehicles. So by the time I can get one, there are probably some updates made since production begins.

Unless the truck has barely been driven, a founders edition probably won’t be worth more. Others have posted links to other “founder” edition teslas that didn’t seem to go for a higher resale.
In the end, you’re paying the premium because you want to be first.

Now, this is *only* the currently-prevailing evidence - but that’s as good as it gets from Tesla at the moment

First tranche went out Fri 12/8, and second tranche went out Fri 12/15 - and based on reports from today, people with offers from the first tranche or second tranche disappeared ~overnight in connection with the second tranche going out

As ever, all things subject to change and exceptions

EDIT TO ADD: with the above clarifications it appears possible that either we’re seeing an order time clock time out, AND/OR Tesla has reached a Foundarion allotment max and ALL ORDERS, whether or not tranche 1 or 2

If in fact Tesla has maxxed the foundation series, it may mean that soon (next Friday?) we see the first non-Foundation configuration emails?
This is great stuff, thank you for putting this together!
I was in the first batch of invites and as of 30 seconds ago, I can still configure.
