These were in another thread.
They are not mine.
Apologize to the author as I forgot to capture that. [Update: @Bkb13 post here]

This is what my spreadsheet looks like. I read somewhere that you get double rings and hooks. The bottom line is you're going to pay more for the Foundation version. You can consider the FSD a wash if you locked in at $7000 and qualify for the FED tax credit. The difference would be more like $10290.

Not a fan either.
Yeah I saw the white panel in an RC I got to sit in. Not a fan, but ordered Foundation anyway. The Gray panels that someone posted look nice. Maybe another member will want to swap in future. Or maybe replacement panels wont be too expensive? Guess we will see....

That’s cool you got to sit in an RC. I’m wondering if the white will be an option for non FS trucks and if so if it’ll be the premium with grey or black as the standard.

I find it *Interesting* that the Foundation series has FSD as a part of it. I suspect EM really wants everyone to embrace using FSD. I remember when some posters here speculated that by ordering FSD when they reserved might get their CT a little ahead of those who didn't. I think that may be part of the reason for a large number of Founder's series. At first we thought it was 1,000. Now it's rumored to be 20,000. And I now think that number will go higher still. Imagine over time, everyone in the reservation que getting their Founder's invitation. Once, those who decline it, have had their chance, then tesla starts filling the rest of the orders.

I think one of the biggest unknowns if its tesla will honor FSD from the early reservations. That was a key indicator for me to get the truck. Premium connectivity and FSD included. Tesla has been very keen on increasing the cost of FSD and I didn't want to chance it and have v12 come with a larger price than it is now and the FSD is not honored.

Here's a conversation starter: Wouldn't the tax credit still apply to the AWD version of the Cybertruck even if you buy the Foundation series? The Foundation add-on consists of options that are not included in the base price of the truck (per the price list provided by Tesla) and are considered "accessories" bundled with the vehicle. The add-ons do not factor into the property tax that will be charged by the state and also do not factor into the assessed value. I noticed this when I received the sales tax bill from the state for my last two Tesla vehicle purchases: I was not charged property tax for the purchase of AP (since technically, we don't own it anyway).

I think it’s just easy for Tesla to include it since it’s software and they can say hey you get this bonus!

these being things that Tesla can decide on a lark to change, nobody should go all in on it - but

the white trim panels in the AWD is special to the Foundation series (other than the 20 AWD showroom models)

as for the Foundation beast, it may either end up identical to a non-Foundation beast, or they may have gone a bit extra with the alcantara in the Foundation

but given that the Foundation AWD definitely has series-exclusive trim, I’ll be surprised to find the Foundation beast doesn’t have a few extra materials flourishes as well
Shoot... is Alcantara only on the beast? I thought it was on the AWD too... I wonder if I can change my FS order

Wish there was more conversation/speculation around this!

If it is wrong, don't try to add ANY options to the AWD when it comes out as it will then also be above the $80k limit.
not a lot of conversation/speculation around this because it seems patently wrong and not much worth talking/speculating about

I mentioned this in one of the other "is foundation worth it" threads.
My only caution is Tesla history with special versions at early release.
There is no guarantee that any of the bundled items will actually be extra cost on regular trucks, conversely there is no guarantee that the options will even be available in the future.
It's all down to the value that you perceive.
Personally, I'm glad I got my Model 3 when I did, even though I paid for things that became standard.
