Do you mind me asking what your insurance cost is with Tesla Insurance? You said Geico was $100 more, and another won't insure it.

I've been trying to get quotes but the few places I've called so far won't insure it due to the quarter mile speed as weird as that is lol

$360 total for CT and modelY, 500 deductible.

Electrek is slamming this delivery. Calling them ridiculous defects. Saying how panels are falling off. I would have declined the delivery unless could have been told the remedy and time frame.

Congrats on the truck. Personally I would have flipped my **** if they gave the truck to me with that rear bed side looking like that. Do they not do a PDI before calling you to come pick it up? How does it even leave the factory like that in the first place and if it popped out then is that gonna happen in the future if they manage to fix it. This will be my first Tesla and I constantly hear about how they are put together so poorly. I’m kind of concerned after seeing that to be honest and hope mine don’t end up with an issue like that. Waiting 5 years and they cant make a panel fit!

you should do a thread about how they fixed that issue and how they fixed it. Curious what it involved to fix.

Yes the danger is , it will pop out again , hopefully does not happen , but seems something was not done properly at the factory like some clamps etc or panel itself bent , I agree would not take delivery

If these panel issues become a thing again, Elon may need to sleep on the factory floor again till things get fixed. My M3 was one of the ones built while he was sleeping on the factory floor and it was absolutely flawless and never had anything wrong with it. I suspect these issues will get resolved in short order; however, like others said, for a $100k+ vehicle, it better be flawless.
