I've owned my Cybertruck AWD for six+ months in all kinds of weather here in NJ. I'm going to show you why you should ignore the "detailers" on YouTube and what I've found to be the quickest, easiest, way to keep that stainless steel exterior looking pristine and fingerprint-free.

If you find it helpful, please do throw up a 'Like' on the video, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Just tell us what it is.
I'd have to post a spoiler alert and risk upsetting people. I will profess that the topic has been covered on CTOC, but I hadn't seen a video as of yet so figured I'd make one as seeing is believing. Well, until all videos are AI generated.

The thumbnail would look better and more convincing as a real picture of you with the cleaning product. AI is cheap and looks bad. edit: nice, thanks! :)

Glad to see you calling out those ridiculous YouTube detailing channels that try to convince people you need 12 chemicals to properly care for your Cybertruck. It's literally the easiest vehicle ever to take care of.

I wouldn't be surprised if those YouTubers are getting paid to make it seem next to impossible to take care of. I never could figure out why so many people have such a problem with fingerprints. My best guess is it's all those chemicals stripping the passivation layer off. Sprayway doesn't strip the passivation layer, so very little issue with fingerprints. And it's about as cheap as bottled water!

I give mine a quick wash with a long-handled brush and a bucket of soapy water first, because mine is often quite muddy, the pre-wash really reduces the use of Sprayway. I get about 8-12 washings per can of Sprayway.

great point, washing with soap and water first is preferable and does save a lot of product. it really is remarkably easy to clean and maintain. i suppose if sponsors need to sell products, those detailers will try and recommend anything and everything. quite the hoax.

If you don't wash it with soap and water first, you are not getting all the salt and dirt off the truck, completely. The spray away only gets what you can grab with the towel, the water and soap rinses away everything. And you will use a lot less S/A.
