Can you just use Sprayaway with no other car wash method at all?
Yes,
So far
Although pre-rinsing or doing a snow foam wash to remove as many particulates would make a lot of sense.
Moving around a lot of dirt and sand on the car is likely to cause some micro scratching. I did mine right after and got rained on and it worked pretty well

It's worked for me so far (delivery on 05/30).

If it was covered in lots of dust/mud from off-roading, road trip, or whatever, I'd definitely rinse off with water and/or soap as well.

But I've only been on-road so far, and just wipe down with Sprayway when I think it needs it. CT looks great.

Yeah, there's limits.

You'll want to hit it with a ton of water for like, salt rime or mud or sand. Sprayaway isn't a replacement for removing anything more than a small layer of oils or smudges of bugs. It won't take off water spots, either.

Sometimes you just need alot of water or soap or an actual light acid or just a blower - different things need different removal methods. Stainless is at least very accommodating to whatever solvent you need.

But for most spot removal? It's perfect.

Yeah, that's just for things staining the metal specifically, such as rust or water spots.

  • But if it's grease, you'll want to use a degreaser;
  • If it's paint you'd want to use something that can break it up or solve it;
  • if it's salt you'd want to dissolve it in water;
  • If it's mud, sand, or even rocks you'll want to flush it away without scratching;
  • And if it's oil or fingerprints or bugs you just need something to foam them away, and Sprayaway does that.

Yes,
Not regarding use of sprayway.
Just came across it in Tesla service DIY section and don’t recall seeing that info in the Cybertruck manual.

Just curious, but would those iron removers like Adams sells work on iron contamination? The ones that turn purple when it reacts with iron? Thinking aloud.

I suppose? I don't know them. Things like Iron-Out are good at breaking up calcium deposits, too, in ways simple acids won't, so I can see using other things.

Has anyone used Stainless Steel and More? I was introduced to this product because its the only Stainless Steel Cleaner with Ceramic Si02. I have found it to leave an even finish, slight shine and dries with a protective barrier which prevents fingerprints and smudges. This is a spray on, wipe off application and is not one of the permanent or semi permanent coatings. I think its only available on Amazon.

California Duster - for between washes

I use one of these between washes on my truck. I don't have my Cybertruck but this should still work to extend the period between washes.

The one I bought actually came with a smaller version for the interior. It's like a little swiffer for the interior.

Anyway, after washing and waxing my truck (a little Ford Maverick hybrid Lariat), I just give it a really quick, 2-minute wipe down with this after I get home from work. That way, the morning dew doesn't set the dust into place. It works really well on glass and painted surfaces alike. The waxy yarn-like surface pulls the dust right up. I give it a couple of quick flips to get the dust off and put it back into it's bag for the next day. Literally a 2 minute process to de-dust the whole truck.

While it keeps my CURRENT truck looking great, I know it won't lift fingerprints but it may help keep the rest of the Beast looking fresh.

Im still waiting on "the best" recommended sealant/coating.. DIYdetail metal or protectaclear, I dont want to have to wipe down my truck every day... Haven't even cleaned mine yet, once I hear online of an actual coating that is working great, then ill clean/coat
Try stainless steel and more by Aqua Armor. Sold on Amazon it's ceramic Sio2 infused stainless cleaner.
