no and very disappointed to hear. Was hoping to charge laptop and work at my sites while I charge the truck at same time. Can't even charge a laptop. Blows A$$
While I agree that its an egregious oversight, I almost surely travel more than anyone on this forum for work so I solve this issue with a pair of battery banks that weigh ~ 3lbs total.
and fit in the same packback I keep all my other tech bs in. Also the 65w USBs do work in the when charging

Interesting. I travel quite a bit for work and I think that setup will be very handy. What kind of battery banks do you use to charge your laptop?

I have battery packs like these. I guess I was wondering if there is a battery pack where I could charge my laptop? I have a heavy duty graphics intensive laptop I use for work. The only way I can charge it is to plug in the AC adapter. I can't charge it via USB.

I don't know the specs on your laptop but it seems capable of filling my 16" Mac Pro while using it no problemo

Yeah, mine is a beast. It is large and clunky, but has a very fast processor and graphics card. The freaking power supply weighs like 5 pounds itself. I can't charge via USB, only the AC adapter unfortunately. Oh well...

I don't think there is ANY way this does not get fixed with a software update. Tesla knows the CT charging times are currently pretty long, inability to charge phones, computers, etc was likely just an oversight. I would bet $ they fix this with software or maybe worst case the next version of the CT.

They will have to update that and I’m sure they will. No way they don’t give you power for coolers, tool batteries etc like Rivian does.

That is why I keep eco flow portable power for laptop during working on longer trips
but that blows. it has outlets. at least let us use the 120 volt outlets. Just terrible engineering and planning. My 2018 Ford CMAX, a shitty Ford has an outlet I can use while charging, driving, anytime I want.

I hope so. Being a contractor in the field and I use this option in other vehicles, they need to step up. Rivian, Chevy, Ford have it available. let's go Tesla. Leader of the industry???
