Seeing some Cybertrucks for rent on Turo, wondering if some people would rent for an hour with the owner riding along

My Cybertruck AWD should be delivered in a month or so.
Not wealthy and have to sell my Tesla and F-Type to help pay for the truck.
It's not the smartest decision to buy the Foundation series but whatever, you only live once.
I've been a huge Tesla fan for many years since I had my first P85+

I'd offer rides for free just to get a kick out of it., but I wouldn't let it out of my sight and wondering if anyone would rent for 1/2hr or an hour on weekends just to drive it around to see what they think. BUT, I'd ride along as a passenger to answer questions and to make sure it's not abused.
Wondering if anyone would pay $50 or so to do that.

I also have a 2nd reservation that should come up in a year or so. Hoping to get the AWD and the $7,500 POS rebate and sell the Foundation series (after a year) and not lose a ton of money, and maybe get a revised Cybertruck. And if I was, just keep it and let the reservation go.

Thoughts?

Absolutely do not count on the Foundation Series retaining enough value for resale a year from now. The only reason it would make sense is if you want it much earlier than everyone else, you want all the accessories it comes with including lifetime FSD beta, etc, and you plan to keep the vehicle for 10 years.

I estimate it will lose 40% value after less than 2 years.

Ya I get it, not counting on it at all. If the value took a dump, I’d just keep it and enjoy it.
I don’t mind all the accessories added for the 20k, I just don’t like losing out on the $7,500.

Great idea. I just wish owners would share a bit. The whole Turo idea seems a bit cheeky for people that just want to figure out if the truck works for them. A kind EV'er should do that.

I had a family of 4 and two car seats show up at my house one morning to try the 3 when it was new. I gave them they key card, and said keep it for a half a day. Never met them. They seemed legit, and I like helping people over making a few bucks.

That being said I will be letting people drive my truck. I spoke to my insurance company. They don't have a problem unless I was taking money.

I’m totally fine for letting anyone drive it for a few minutes so they can see for themselves how it is.
Im talking about a longer period for serious people who are really interested in it and wouldn’t mind paying for my time for an hour or whatever.

You'd definitely want to get a bigger rearview mirror.

Speaking of insurance, would like to hear what people are paying for it.
