I don't think it's so deep that they are looking up if you have an X premium account, I think they are just trying to spread these out around the country with the first waves. This leads to a lot of people getting skipped.
Has nothing to do with that. I had zero information on my account and got an invite. My name was "none name". No address. No Tesla on that account either.

Their spread of invites doesn't match the survey density of orders, though. And several invites were sent to people based upon their credit card info.

But it's really interesting that your account was blank. When did you get your invite?

I have 3 reservations. All within minutes of the end of the original reveal. First one was roughly ~1600 in line. Second two were ~25k in line. On 12/16 I was warming up my MX and happened to see the CyberTruck in the app ready to configure. Immediately plunked down the $1k. Even went back and checked spam. No email or anything. That particular reservation was for a single motor as well (accident in the flurry of trying to complete the reservation). About a week later I saw an email come through for what would be my 3rd reservation in line. I started the process but didn’t finish it (as I already ordered one). The next day it was gone. Never saw anything for the middle reservation.
I don’t really have a clue what happened. Maybe the emails got clogged up somewhere? Dunno. But there were some people the same day as me that said they saw they could configure but by the time they got around to it they couldn’t anymore. I think at least one did end up getting an email.
That does suck man when you want something and you have the means to have to watch all the people around you getting it. I get it. I’m impatient. I check the app multiple times a day just to see if I have a VIN. I am in AZ so hoping but not expecting anything real soon but always hoping. You will eventually get it. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Good luck.

I'll first say - I feel for the OP and that really does suck :(

Now here what appears to be directionally true and a fallacy that unfortunately things like the "order tracking spreadsheet" has spread inappropriate expectations regardless of its positive intent.

One of the first issue is thinking a reservation with sequential numerical values means you will be sequentially picked on that pattern, when every single Tesla launch of a new product has proven otherwise.

Again, think it sucks but I also think we need to (as a community) realign our expectations.

I agree, in principle. It does appear that the vast majority of invites have gone out to day 1 reservations, so they are at least loosely linked. In fact if you see my post from last year I said as much! The numbers have just a loose connection to sequential order. All that being said, I have other factors in my favor, none of which really mattered. In the end there is a randomness to Teslas reservation system that I have not been able to reconcile at least not one that works out for me.

Yes, Skipped. Also feeling frustrated by it.

You are not alone. Most here will not sympathize with this problem.
I believe we all know how you guys are feeling and it sucks. I know it did for me until I got the email. Anger, frustration and disappointment every time someone posts about getting their invite. I can and do sympathize for all the CT owners who are waiting for their opportunity and want to buy it. I’m hoping it’s not long for you guys also.

Posted here before regarding invites to configure and my lack of one. I am a day 1 (first microsecond) reservation holder in Fremont. My reservation number according to the tracker would be 654(original number). I ordered the Tri-Motor with FSD. Is there ANYONE with a similar circumstance on this forum? Am I the only person in the world the Tesla has skipped? if you are in another country... i get that, but is there anyone in the USA (preferably California) that was also skipped?

....and to head off any questions:
  1. I own a tesla and of course my address is correct in my account.
  2. I also own stock and I am registered to vote etc.
  3. I am a X premium account holder.
  4. I have called support and that was useless.
  5. I have went to a sales center, also useless.
  6. my address on both my app and the website are the same.

I really just want to know if I am so special that Tesla specifically decided to screw me. I would love to know your reservation number if you have been. at least the first 5 digits, I am really only interested in Day 1 reservations that have been skipped. If you are 40,000 after me, you were not skipped.

Honestly just relax, bro. It’s a car, they’re building millions of them. You’ll get it eventually. They don’t have a personal need against you.

Thanks I feel better now. I don’t know how I would have coped without you knocking some sense in me. I’ll go back to hoping for nothing, that’s way more comforting. I need to relax, you right! Now I can go back to building my empire without all the distractions of hoping to get something I have wanted for the past 4 years. And of course before you mentioned it I really did think that Tesla (and Elon) were personally taking out time to fuck with me, but now I know that it just random.

I definitely did not come to an Internet forum to simply vent and talk to other people that might feel the same as me… definitely did not do that.

Did you reserve as CA resident? I think zip code plays a role. I suggest giving them a call to check why you didn’t get the invite, and confirm whether your zip code in the system is accurate. I had registered as WA resident but called them and updated my CA zip code as I relocated couple of years ago.

I don’t own a Tesla. I had reserved the Trimotor within 30 mins of unveiling, but I didn’t get the first round of FS emails. After I made the zip code update, I received the invite on 12/22. It could be a coincidence, but it’s worth calling them. Just be ready to wait on the call for a LONG time.

Exactly! Spot on. Frustrated even though I know it’s random! I am aware of the reality, but sometimes you just want to shit post and see if other people are in your situation. Misery loves company.

Thanks but I own a Tesla and receive regular emails from them. And my address has been the same for 20 years.

I was not skipped, but the perception of microsecond is crazy, but I do feel for you. I was refreshing the page like a mad man like a lot of others. Considering the "oldest" RN by which all RNs are calculated is RN112744100...

If they actually went in direct line (and they were all Cybertrucks, which statistics say on that first two days was likely around 90%), you'd still be over 1,600 after me. We have currently tracked 970-ish orders in 6 weeks. I did not get invited until 12/20 after 100s got invited on 12/8 and beyond. It was a little frustrating and there was certainly a sigh of relief after the invite, the idea of a line was mostly kept.

I have other graphs I've created from the Orders List. Geography, FSD ordered in 2019, Model ordered, seem to be the major commonalities by invite. Every other variable can just be lumped into "Tesla sh!t" as far as anyone knows.
