Water is heavy. It will rip parts right off a vehicle driving thru at speed. Even lower speeds will scoop pounds of water into any opening. Would t do this unless I had no choice… but nice to know it works, if needed.
I want to watch a rocket launch haha ?

Wow! I wondered if the drive units are also sealed, but since they still worked they must be!
Conventional axles have breather vents which can suck in water if submerged. I used to extend my axle breather vents with some hose so they wouldn't go under water. I don't know how Tesla gear cases are setup but that would be my main concern. After a drive in deep water I'd want to pull a drain plug and see if any water comes out or if the oil is cloudy.

Pretty clear that no one would still be following you after going through water like that...

If he would have gone slower on the deep one, we might of seen how the CT can float.

Like this though, with enough speed (a bit to much) at least he didn’t lose traction as the water on the front was pushing the front down at the same time, and the wake on the nose was displacing the water around the sides so it stayed with all four wheels on the ground.

Shame he didn’t take a tape with to measure the depth.

Nice Video thanks, as for the buttons not working- find a large bag, fill with rice, put CT in and wait a few days.
RichRebuilds did that with a flooded ev (can't remember if it was a Tesla S plaid or a Lucid Air or? - something special that he got a "special deal" on). I recall they built a wood box around the entire car (after removing seats, flooring, etc.) and filled the car and box with rice - used a Hee-lariously ridiculous amount of rice! The rice worked!

I am impressed other than the buttons not working and things flapping/coming off.
The rear flap that was partially unattached was the cover for the hitch. It's designed to be put on or pulled off. Looking at the video, it didn't look like it was damaged so I bet he could have just pressed it back into place.

Kinda cool to see what it can do… looking for an actual test and maybe a slight tear down one day.

Can’t wait to see a body modification with a bow that may better split the water, someone gonna do it

Here is the case vent for the Model S Plaid. My concern is if they are using the same vent location and it's not self sealing then when a warm gear case goes under cooler water it will pull water into the gear case.

Unfortunately you might need to lower the entire subframe assembly to get to it, Model S procedure:

Had NOT thought about that, in some of those clips it looked like they were driving pretty quickly so would assume they got warm, suppose no way to tell if there is water in those unless something goes wrong or you pull them apart?

Pull a drain plug, water is heavier than oil so it would come out first after sitting for a while. If it's mixed in then the oil would be cloudy or grey colored.
