I believe you will have to go pick the vehicle up at the prearranged Tesla distributor. My friend drove roughly two hundred miles to pick his 3 up in Cincinnati. Or have it shipped.

I would like to pick mine up at the factory and drive it back to Texas. It is amazing that in Texas the dealership monopoly prevents the manufacturer from selling direct to customer. You have to title in Calif and transfer to TEXAS. Socialism is alive and well in Texas.

When you finalize the order process and start the build process, you usually pick where you want to pick it up. Also, prior to delivery your sales person will reach out to you to confirm where you will take delivery of your unit. When I purchased my 3 I had the choice of home delivery as well, the showroom wasn't that far for me and home delivery would have added several weeks to the delivery process as you have to wait in line.

You should be able to select anywhere to pick it up. There maybe complications with plates and title work if you take delivery from out of state. Someone with experience there will need to chime in to indicate that process and any speed bumps they encountered.

tulsa??? Why do you want to do it this way? Just curious. I’d rather have mine dropped off in my driveway!

HEY! Bigee E, I bet a lot of us would take a ride to the Cyber Plant and take delivery of our vehicles there. please consider giving us the cost to transport it to us off the final cost if we come pick it up at the plant?
I mean it is smart right? We don't need to break them in do we? And unless they are delivered by the Tesla Semis it would be better for the environment. And just too damn fun for the new owners to get used to road-tripping in it...
(I live in Indialantic, FL so I'd have about as long a drive as anyone in North America, 64 years old this year, and would be up for it.)

You won't have to worry about delivery for 3 years so who knows what they may have in place by then. Currently you can pick them up at a service center, they drive it to your home or office or they put it in a truck and ship it to you (not sure who pays for that - you do I think).

In the States you need to be careful about flying to another state and driving the vehicle back home as you can wind up paying registration/sales taxes to the state in which you take delivery and in the state where you register it.

As others have mentioned, I drove to Portland to pick mine up. Roughly 150 miles.
