Do any owners out there know how to reset the Tonneau cover? I just took delivery today and it just stopped working. It's about 6 inches from closing.

Update: So, after investigating further tonight and crawling inside the bed, I took a flashlight and noticed that I am missing panels. =( Not even a few hours old. Already put in a service request. At this point, I want to reject the delivery.

Update #2: Took it to Tesla Miramar, San Diego today and their lead tech ran a diagnostic which revealed that it was one of the motors that was in an overheat disable mode. He recalibrated it and it's all good. Another friend sent me a pic of how the inside looks and it's the same.

Sorry that sucks. I don’t have a CT so I am no help but wanted to say congrats. Hope all other parts are good.

Out of curiosity do you live where it is hot and were you using the cover a bunch?
Seems odd that this time of year there would be any heat issues unless you are in CA/FL/TX parked outside and running the tonneau cover up and down a bunch?

I live in San Diego and it’s been relatively cold. When I was taking delivery and the guy was actuating the tonneau cover, it was actually already stalling out just an inch short of closing but then he would press the button and it would ultimately close. When I got home and actuated it, that’s when it stopped. Temperature was 60°. Less than 55 miles.

Oh wow, that does not seem like it would be a heat issue sub 60 degrees and not using it constantly, hope it is not a heat issue because it hits 110 here and I plan on opening mine more than once a week.
hope it stays problem free for you

Sounds like the cover is binding in the track, making the motor work extra hard.

Mine is two days old and stuck. it’s also misaligned and has a service request. I love the truck, and I knew something would be off. It felt too good to be true.

Mine is exactly the same. Almost seems like one side motor isn't pushing down causing the whole cover to be slightly off.

1 of my 1st service items was cover had a slight gap on the drivers side when closed, they adjusted it, not perfect but closes all the way to the stop. there was a white line tracking down the left side as well and service manager said if it persisted they would just replace the whole cover.

I highly recommend the "calibrate" option in the Service menu. I've had to do this several times, but I've been habitually opening/closing the tonneau every time I drive, and the issue is occurring less frequently. Perhaps is just needs a break-in period?

The alternative is getting a replacement cover, which is a significant procedure that may not even fix the problem.

Would something like silicone spray in the track help?

I ran the calibration in the service menu and it definitely helped. It’s still slightly crooked at the bottom but now works without jamming.

I have the same issue. Found problem with right side track causing one side to drag and jam up the tonneau. Service ordered replacement track.

Cybergus… you totally figured this out. I ran the tonneau in service mode, followed your simple instructions, then followed the prompts in service mode. It calibrated the right motor and left motor perfectly. No more issues. Finally the Tonneau is straight and closes all the way. Thank you!!!
