I still get random people asking me what my Zero is, and it's ten years old. And I live not ten miles from the factory.

-Crissa
Do you know what total Zero production has been over those 10 years?

I also wonder what the average daily usage ratio is compared to a Cybertruck, ie. the number of days it sits in a garage vs. the number of days it is publicly visible).

Apparently there is a school somewhere in San Diego where the kids at school laugh at the one kid who owns a Cybertruck. It's unfortunate because it's such a cool truck. I see one at least once a week here now.
According to who? That sounds like a made-up fake story. Unless the kid was already the unfortunate target of ridicule before the family had a Cybertruck. Because kids almost universally love the unique look of the Cybertruck. Statistically speaking it would be quite an anomally for the majority of the kids at a school to have a dim view of a Cybertruck, unless it was simply the manifestation of extreme jealousy.

Most kids would love it if their parents had a Cybertruck, and I don't know why one school in San Diego would be any different.

is it bullet proof?.....most asked question.......The touching is crazy.....why? Lambo's don't even get touched........I've used 2 bottles of Windex in 2 months so far to get peoples muck off my truck.......I wish I had a keyfob just to quickly hit the alarm button to keep people off it.
Where do you live?

I've been parking my freshly delivered Cybertruck on the street, where I can quietly observe anonymously, and while it has generated a high level of interest from hundreds of people, I haven't seen one person touch it or leave a fingerprint on it. I'm sure it will eventually happen; I just think someone who would touch a stranger's car are in a small minority.

We had someone who owned a Model X come in and said their kids were either friends of, or on a sports team with, another family who owned a Cybertruck. They said the elementary aged kids laugh every time they see it and the middle school aged kids make fun of it.

That was the first time I had ever heard of kids not being gaga over a Tesla. I said to the woman "really!?" In disbelief because I thought everyone under the age of 25 loved Teslas more than any other car brand.

Anybody else tired of the attention yet? It’s pretty crazy still here. I had to start staying in the truck until the coast is clear to make a run for it. A guy chased me on foot while I was driving and was mad I didn’t stop lol
You love it and we know it.

It is a lot. Sometimes I mind sometimes I don’t. Most attention has been positive. Surprising number of people who don’t know what it is!

Sounds fake.

Don't you know you can honk the dual horns with your phone app?

I think someone just made that up. Kids don't laugh at Cybertruck, they are gaga over it. I'm sure there are a few exceptions, like kids of TSLAQ types who have been brainwashed to be anti-Tesla but, in the aggregate, kids go crazy over it. They are in awe. I can see the look of wonderment and all the wheels in their head turning.

True. I see a lot of people who show sudden interest in it parked on the street and a lot of them look like they are looking for the badge so they can figure out what it is. They look at the back, and quickly peek at the front, all the places they expect to see a badge. Some of them lose interest when they see it doesn't have a badge, or they take a quick photo and move on so they can figure it out later.

Yeah I feel you. 6 weeks in here in SLC and it’s still pretty crazy the amount of attention it gets.

I have been followed into stores and even home a couple of times. Haha. I get that it does feel like a bit much but each time it’s been people genuine interest and excitement that makes me smile. I don’t get the feeling people even really think about how it could be a little off putting to be followed but I’ve never felt like it’s been done with malice.

Wifey put it perfectly the first time she saw it in person and then rode in the truck with me.

“DumpsterFire, if you’re going to drive a truck this unique and strange, you just simply can’t be a dick when people wanna talk about it…”. ?

Wifey is wise. She just has terrible taste in men….?

If Wifey calls you DumpsterFire I’m not sure it’s a compliment.

The ramp has started. For the last month since delivery I never saw another truck on the road in the East Bay. Until last week on 580 I was so excited to see an additional CyberTruck in my small town of Castro Valley. Also saw the truck at Safeway, so I know they are local. They will share the load of all the eyeballs on the road.

Give it time and things will settle down. The truck is famous. We should keep this thread going for owner stories.

I live in Cheyenne and am waiting for my beast. Given that I live in the land of jacked-up, smokestack brodozers I'm worried about the truck getting keyed or how to handle negative attention. Has anyone had to deal with the folks who truly dislike Elon/Tesla, any advice for me?

My wife and kids are incredibly apprehensive about the attention that we are expecting to get. I’m outgoing and friendly, but my wife and kids are very introverted. My pickup date is tomorrow so they are worried.
Tint right away.

I have had mine for 2 weeks now. It's pretty overwhelming but I was prepared for the attention. I'm not into it but I know it will fade.

I drove one of our work vans for a couple hours drive this week and was shocked when I looked at other cars and they were not looking back at me LMAO. Don't get me wrong I didn't miss the attention but it was weird to feel that.
