Hey all,

First off, thank you for your help!

My Cyberbeast is making a clunking noise when turning, which seems to happen during regenerative braking. It doesn’t occur every time, though.

I had the service center look at it, but they gave me the usual “can’t replicate the issue” response. The noise typically happens during sharp turns while under regen, especially when I’m coming down a hill and turning into my driveway.

I’ve attached a video of the issue, including one recorded from inside the truck.

Has anyone else experienced this? The service center hasn’t been much help—they’ve returned the truck to me twice now without resolving the problem.

What you guys think it could be? Bed axles maybe? Thanks.

Jesus H that is loud. How could they not replicate that? Can you replicate it for them with a tech in the ride?

Did the user interface have a blue snowflake and do you have the option selected to use brakes when regen is limited?

Edit: might be ABS in general, I see the front left wheel locks up.

Unfortunately when i brought the car there would not do it. It does it when it wants too.

no snow flake, i was driving for over one hour before, yes i have that option on but im gonna turn it off to test it, it happens under acceleration too, i thought it could be the ABS at first but if you watch the video it does the clunking noise before the wheel locks up and ABS kicks on.

I thought so at first but if you watch the video it does the clunking noise before the wheel locks up and ABS kicks on.
Right, but the lock up seemed off which made me think a general brake issue beyond just the possible regen assist cause.

strange up here in Montana. I have this flutter temps from -5 to positive 5ish.

Not using FSD. It seems to happen around 3mph when no regen is allowed. Truck almost stutters.

Outside of those circumstances I don't hear any clunking..

It's definitely a good guess im gonna turn of that option and try, but it happened under acceleration also, but i gotta say i has been very icy here.

Acceleration might be traction control use of the brakes.
Clunking could also be the locking differential, but that seems unlikely.
