Honestly the truck gets weird attention regardless of the political lean of any given town. I’m in NorCal, Roseville which leans pretty far right. That crowd also has strong opinions about the truck. All the big lifted diesel crowd dudes are also being sheep and using the shake the head, thumbs down etc.
The cybertruck is bold and makes people uncomfortable for some reason. Never has a vehicle been about politic for me. I can definitely see the far left ramping up their sheepishness soon

The derangement is only going to get worse.
President Trump has only been in office for ONE WEEK, and look at how much he has already done.
And the ones losing their minds are just going to keep lashing out, since they are truly powerless to do anything about it!
now this thread is guaranteed to be shut down ?

Sentry mode is a modest deterrent. When activity triggers a recording, the screen lights up:

This reminds bystanders that they're being recorded. If they fail to heed the warning, then you have them on tape.

The HFS is pretty hard to damage. Keying paint can be an expensive repair, but keying a Cybertruck will probably do more damage to the key

I’m in TX where, generally, people don’t mind them but I still wouldn’t have gotten one unless I could park it in a garage behind a closed door. Anytime it’s in public view sentry mode is on. Also don’t skimp out on insurance.

I live in Dallas as well and the sentiment in this thread is pretty much the main reason I haven't purchased one yet. We really love the truck after driving it a few times but I do have concerns about nutty people out there.

Unfortunately it comes with the CT now - even in Nebraska, I'm now getting the finger from random people while driving. At least one per day, it's getting furstrating sometimes. But then I park the truck and I get whole bunch of people that want to see it up close.

Get the truck and have sentry mode on all the time. You can't fix stupid people or worry about that too much.

I think the Cybertruck is the perfect vessel for experimenting with my new, "CyberZapper". It's basically an electric "taser" that electrifies the entire exoskeleton upon a "tampering detected" condition to stun the opponent. I'm also working on "tear gas" grenades that deploy from the vehicle at the touch of a button. Wheel "tredges" are in the works as well.
The cyber world can't wait until my product line launches (insert villainous laugh here).
Maybe some Electrified fence type sticker wrap would work :)

As long as they don’t vandalize my property, I can care less what they think and believe.
Unfortunately: thoughts become words, and then words become actions.

Don't read the user comments on MSM Cybertruck stories, unless you want to hear all the greatest FUD regurgitated ad nauseam.

Just buy it and don’t worry about unpatriotic people.

This Truck Represents everything Elon stands for and we are lucky owners.
Would you settle for "it represents most everything Elon stands for"...?

It’s honestly not bad anymore. Used to be you couldn’t take a drive without getting flipped off. One weirdo even crowded me super hard on the freeway, probably trying to run me off the road. But for each hater there were 10 thumbs up/picture takers.

I haven’t gotten flipped off in months now. People are either ignoring me or still giving it love.

Majority bot generated, but sadly, real people too who think they’re interacting and aligning with other real people.
