I can understand some of it when people say the truck is everything that Elon stands for or whatever. I’d like for us to keep in mind the amazing people that built and designed the Cybertruck beyond Elon. Lot of brilliant people worked on the product, lets give them credit due.

My wife and I came out of the grocery store to find a banana peel tossed on the vault cover of our CT. No harm, but obviously someone was jealous. :D
My step-father's new M3 got chocolate thrown on it. People just hate... You're driving around in a $100k car from the future and they are too lazy to reflect upon themselves and admit to their horrible choices.

Wow. This is such a good timing.

I recently purchased a CT and had a couple of experiences in around UCB just yesterday.

Here are my 3 experiences in 1 day:

1. I pulled up a block from ASUC. A female student walked by talking on the phone said that a Cybertruck just ruined her day loudly obviously wanting me to hear it.
2. Went into the parking lot of Berkeley bowl and a person walked by and said “nice car, a$$hole” with his middle finger up.
3. While driving by a CT ride by across on incoming traffic and a cyclist next to the CT gave him the birdie.

I was actually shocked by these encounters and thought why would these individuals comment on a subjective matter. I wouldn’t walk up to them and say, you’re ugly, f you.

So, yes, this is indeed real.
Man that’s terrible, down here in south florida no one cares, or they come up because they are genuinely interested and ask questions and I allow them to sit inside or take a look at the vault. I have not experienced any hate yet. I sincerely hope it gets better for you all that experience these issues.

Central MD here, (a county that's not really far left, but not as conservative as western MD or some of the Eastern Shore). 99% positive responses, one maybe making a face, one genuinely curious but thinks it's kind of ugly (matter of taste, so whatever).

Grade school age kids love it due to the game(s) it appears in and the very unconventional appearance. One girl said to her mom while walking by "it's beautiful!", I laughed and said "it would be if it were clean" (still a bit cruddy from prior snow, waiting for rain to rinse some of that off 'cause I'm really not up for standing on a step stool to wash it); her mom laughed at that.

I got cheesed when I was visiting my nearest metro city. They really are cesspools of human filth.

Would you settle for "it represents most everything Elon stands for"...?
I don’t agree with that comment. Elon in the past was a technical revolutionary for me. Promise something hard to do and get something on the street half of the promise and double the time. Now he is just a nut case, I don’t say that because he supports MAGA, I would say that if he supported liberals with the same behavior. I am thinking of Steve Jobs, with the success he turned into a nut case too.

The 3rd test drive of the CT I had some guy ahead of me lose his mind flipping me off out the window, when I rolled my window down he was screaming about Elon Musk.

This was right after the election lol.

People now mostly don't care but I've gotten a couple of nice comments too, I was unloading the family from it over the weekend and a college age young woman commented that it was the coolest truck she'd ever seen.

I disagree. As was reported all those people wanted a basic truck. Elon made them produce this or face the consequences. Now we have our stainless steel tank that will be ready for anything to come.

We really should salute each other like Elon threw out his heart to the crowd. Deep down inside we all think like Elon which is why we purchase his products to support his and his quest to help humanity.

Not even remotely, I look tolerable but tired most of the time and move with a cane. Was obvious I couldn't have caught up with them even if I'd have tried, which I didn't because it neither occurred to me nor would I look for anything irregular anyway.

No.

I don't think he meant it as a Nazi salute. The guy has autism and he isn't a great speaker, he unfortunately messed up. Double unfortunately people don't mind making fun of someone with a disability if they are rich, which is pretty disgusting.

...but anyway, if other CT owners start emulating this "heart to the crowd," things will get real ugly real quick. Don't do it.

I agree the pushed his team to deliver the Cybertruck. My point is he cannot build/design or produce the truck himself. Don’t take the credit away from his team, that is rude.
