I get way more positive reaction to “Big Red” than any negative reaction. Most are “ wow that’s cool”. “ really futuristic”. Young kids love it. I am amazed that 4 and 5 year old kids know what it is. In Ontario 4 hours north of Toronto in the bush people ask me “ did you make that?” I kindly reply “no it’s a Tesla”. I bet I’m a year I have only had 5 or 6 bad comments. They are probably past auto workers. Most people want to know more about it. Especially in Ontario

I'd say about 60% of people love it, especially kids. They take pictures, pretty women smile, older folks give me a thumbs-up and ask questions, and gorgeous women wave like I’m some kind of celebrity.

Another 30% couldn’t care less. They’re just existing.

Then there’s the glorious 10% who absolutely hate it. And funny enough, there’s a pattern. They’re either walking with no car, looking like life has already beaten them down, or they’re driving some rusted out box that sounds like it’s begging to be put out of its misery. These are the people who will never get to experience a futuristic technology like the Cybertruck.

I won’t lie, when someone flips me off, it stirs something in me for a second. I imagine clipping their chin with a clean K.O., sending them straight to dreamland. But then I realize, they’re not really mad at me. They’re mad at their own reality. Stuck in the past, stuck in a slow plastic boring car, stuck with a mindset that just can’t handle progress. And that’s punishment enough for them

9 Months of it. At first I was a little shocked and pissed off. After thinking over it I just take it in stride, I can't let it impact how I feel. Hell sometimes I forget what the outside looks like, driving it is so damn fun.

The few who feel their opinions matter to others are well outweighed by the people and kids who love it.

Smile and wave boys, smile and wave.

Good mindset to have, and very true. But I'd say 10% is a very high estimate for haters. If I pass 1000 people in town every day and one loser feels their feelings are too important not to share with strangers, and that happens once every couple months... thats like .0001%.

recently just been trying to do truck things with my CT. Like loading river rock and concrete on it. And also doing some off road stuff. But damn I’m getting some hate with people shaking their heads and thumbs down. I mean it’s minuscule. However just trying to enjoy my ride ya know and I don’t bother anyone. I don’t even cut people off. Just sucks. Anyone else getting similar experiences?

yeah exactly spot on. do you put the mini ducks on your CT dash as well? or is that just jeep?
Never had and never will for the CT or the Jeeps. I never put anything on my Jeeps I didn't use or had for protection reasons. They were not over pretty but I kept them nice. My first Jeep I went over board on rebuilding it, but I also drove it to over 240K+ Miles on and off road.

Owned CT for three months in Central Florida. All praise, question seekers and no haters.
I'm in NW Florida. Almost 2 months now, and nothing but good comments. Kids love this thing. Spent two weekends in south Georgia. People love it there. Random strangers saying "love your truck!". Not a single hater.

I got the truck in May, and the vast majority of people were friendly and curious the first few months. I had one funny early interaction where I was ordering at a counter and the person next to me says "there's a cybertruck outside, it's hideous, go look at it." My cashier said "i don't ever want to see it!" Then smiled and continued our transaction, unaware of the fact they just insulted me. I just smiled and didn't say anything.

Now I seldom go a day without getting flipped off. Some days it happens multiple times. Other times it's people yelling incoherently at me while they drive by. It all happened once Musk joined politics, it's always the same type of people who insult me.

I'm a middle aged white guy, I guess that screams nazi to the young and progressive? The fact I reserved the vehicle five years before Elon's heart went out to people doesn't matter. The fact I sat outside with the occupy movement and vote progressive for decades doesn't matter, I'm the nazi now.

My family member said it best, "remember when you were the coolest guy in town? Now you're the most hated." Yep.

Here in the Bay Area, that is an easy way to get shot at by doing some foolishness in public like that. I would never dream of flipping someone off here in the Bay Area...that is just asking for trouble you don't need. It isn't worth your life.

I let a complete stranger drive my ct(in a parking lot) and I let everyone who asks about it To sit in it. People are blown away. Elementary school kids go crazy when they see a ct. They all run to the fence to check it out and wave their arms! Give a honk at any school recess and kids go nuts. It’s hilarious!
I offer test drives quite a bit too (situation dependant, of course). The reactions have been overwhelmingly positive. The negative ones are readily apparent to have tiktok brain rot.

I live in a very rural area, and people have motioned out the window for me to pull over so they can ask about the truck. If you live in a metro city with a high concentration of literally insane people, your mileage is going to vary wildly lol

I got a Nazi salute yesterday. I just smiled and said I was disappointed in Musk as well.
Why? Musk didn't perform a roman salute. Tired of seeing people try to make this blatantly false accusation.

Yep, random people will just give me the bird. It's infuriating cause they are in their Pieces of Sh!t civics and jeeps and I cant tell them that as I drive by in a far superior vehicle. I need a pop up sign that applauds their special car and their concern for the CT lol.
