Who hurt you? ? No one is denying vehicle to vehicle variations, just trying to give suggestions.

I know for me I get yelled at less when I wear sun glasses. Having passengers is also helpful as I can have them fiddle with the screen.

If it's really not working for you, you can also block the interior camera with something and the system will fall back on wheel engagement instead of eye tracking.
my experience was opposite. I received a strike while driving into sunset with sunglasses on. Nothing I did looking straight, holding wheel stopped the vehicle warning me. Also, flashing blue on the screen distracts me and makes me look at screen! If you want me to look at the road, don’t distract me and flash on the screen in the middle of dashboard! Should have small light in front of driver for that alert.

If I look at my screen more than 1-2s I get a warning. No chime, nothing but the single line message. On the 2nd+ warning, I get the blue flashing. If I don’t violently shake the wheel I get a strike. I had 3 strikes the first day of ownership, and was in jail on day 3. I read online where people comment that I must not be paying attention, and that they have never gotten a strike, or can even imagine how poorly I am paying attention.

I watch a lot of YouTube videos of FSD drivers and they mess with their router for 10-15s with NO warning. WTF??

Suggestions?
I have 6,500 miles and haven't experienced the problems you're having. There was a couple times I wore a baseball hat and I guess it couldn't see my eyes and it would ask me to pull on the steering wheel. I took the hat off and never got the warning again. I now wear another hat that doesn't cover my eyes and haven't had a warning yet.

The only problem I have with FSD is that there's an intersection with a 4-way flashing red light, and it wants to NOT STOP, I have to intervene every time.

It is so bad sometimes that I am looking straight ahead and only look when I see the blue flashing and it tells me to pay attention. WTF!

Driving just now, FSD would issue a warning only after I stared at the screen for a full “five Mississippi”, long enough for the voice in my brain to start screaming “WATCH THE ROAD”! The alert stopped as soon as I put my eyes forward.

If driving without FSD, I would never look away from the road for that long. Even with FSD, I found the experience disquieting.

FSD or not, I always shift my eyes back to the road after 2-3 seconds max.

Most helpful thing for me is to right hand scroll button up or down clicking once when the blue flash comes up.

sometimes I scroll the right hand scroll wheel by one click and the blue screen message will disapeear. does not have to put extra force on the steering wheel.

It has gotten worse for me recently. But I tend to drive holding the wheel with tension after coming from my Model 3. My trouble comes from trying to adjust my trip and needing to look at the screen to select a stop in my route.

Yep. FSD for me is essentially unusable. Even with no glasses and not taking my eyes off of the road for 1s, it will still throw false awareness alerts and doesn’t respond to tugs on the steering wheel until I’m practically swerving into other lanes at which point it just auto-disengages anyway. So many people swear that we must be on our phones or not paying attention. These same people will create posts about manufacturing defects they have and then turn around and say there can’t possibly be any vehicle-to-vehicle variations or occasional defects affecting the CTs ability to properly gauge awareness. It’s all a conspiracy to them. ?
I wear sunglasses [even in my profile picture!] and FSD does not have any issues - nor do I get false attention warnings...perhaps wear sunglasses...?

Also, My expectation for FSD is minimal; I do not expect it to 'drive' my vehicle but merely 'assist' me in keeping in lane and from collisions. As If I had a passenger paying attention as I am driving.

So no, you can't really eat a burger [Double w/cheese, no pickles] or update your tik tok with FSD.

Have either of you guys actually read the Terms of Service for the FSD software package? Serious question.
I haven't. But I also haven't purchased it because they're not giving me the reservation pricing that was promised :D

the reservation price was baked into the foundation series, otherwise it's currently $1,000 more than when the CT was announced.

anywho, the ToS clearly states what the program is and isn't. Tesla has not engaged in a single bit of false advertising.

Hence the thread we had on here before wherein I mentioned if Tesla kept video and audio they would catch me yelling “Oh Jesus Christ, FO!!!”

Agreed about expecting the driver to look at the screen for these warnings. FSD should have an option to have a voice alert instead of a flashing light or audio sound.
