If it's really not working for you, you can also block the interior camera with something and the system will fall back on wheel engagement instead of eye tracking.
Very interesting. Did this change at one point?? I thought I read if you cover it then you could not do FSD just AP (other vehicles: TACC+Autosteer and CTs: TACC)

I recently got a FS Beast and have found the FSD to be very annoying to actually use. I got two strikes in my first day and 1 since, but it is kind of a pain. But I figre it will be a game changer when unsupervised if that ever happens.

I also have a leased EV9-GT Line company car, and Kia's lane keeping driving assist seems much more usable in real world driving.

I didn't know you could just cover the interior camera, so then it just bugs you every so often to tug the wheel? The EV-9 does that every 30-60 seconds and it is very easy.

I will try that...
^ I understand exactly why FSD is annoying to you lol. The system sees you as a higher risk driver.

I have several of hours of continuous driving with zero nags. There is something you are getting dinged by the system on.

"Here is a piece of very cool software for you for $8,000... Oh sorry, you've been a bad boy and can't play with it anymore." - that's pretty insane from the consumer standpoint.

We could get to the bottom of this. I also have a beast in Dallas. Never gotten a strike and FSD definitely works as it should right now. DM me if you want to meet up. We can find out if it’s you doing something wrong or your truck acting wonky.

I haven't tried it in a long time, so I may be out of date here. Will try it tomorrow

Several times I have received warnings, no idea why and could not figure out why. But I have switched to using the voice commands more to get to any settings I need to see/change. Just say “XYZ settings” and it takes you there, that avoids a lot of searching and warnings.

Try glasses ?
Seriously, sunnies and keep your head straight. Look at the screen and the job done quickly, then get back to watching the road.

I agree, the eye tracking doesn't give you nearly enough time to even adjust the AC.
Totally agree. I get 5s though, and nothing that is Karen level annoying.

I hope for OP that the Tesla Karen possessing his cybertruck gets cast out with a future update.

I’m not sure their advertising of this feature and the feature they delivered are lawful. You can advertise one product and ship another; deceptive advertising has been with humanity since the beginning of commerce…it’s just that now we can sue for it.

^ this.

"violently shaking" the steering wheel is obviously unhinged. All you need is to hold slight pressure to one side. there is definitely a sweet spot.
My wife’s Honda minivan back in 2017 almost instantly registers very soft steering wheel input. CT is borderline retarded as far as how long it takes to understand input and has about as much sensitivity to pressure as a 400 lb long term diabetic foot after completing chemo…

Telsa has to deal with people using attention monitor defeating devices. No other OEM has anything remotely close. I've been using it for months with zero issues.

Sounds like user error to me.

Have either of you guys actually read the Terms of Service for the FSD software package? Serious question.

If I look at my screen more than 1-2s I get a warning. No chime, nothing but the single line message. On the 2nd+ warning, I get the blue flashing. If I don’t violently shake the wheel I get a strike. I had 3 strikes the first day of ownership, and was in jail on day 3. I read online where people comment that I must not be paying attention, and that they have never gotten a strike, or can even imagine how poorly I am paying attention.

I watch a lot of YouTube videos of FSD drivers and they mess with their router for 10-15s with NO warning. WTF??

Suggestions?
Here is a tip that might help - instead of tugging upon the wheel (nag) you can scroll the speed up or down one click and that always satisfies the alert. I actually learned this by mistake when I hit the scroll wheel as I tried to apply a nag. I had similar experience of FSD not responding to what I thought was a little nag and was getting frustrated that I needed to cause the truck to swerve in order to satisfy FSD.

FSD really wants you to watch the road. I take my hat off whenever using FSD.

I drive like this to avoid any Blue Bar warnings -- Does the trick.
Also keeps the Haters away.
Also helps with A-pillar blind spots.
