Discovered the Tesla CCS Combo 1 Adapter does not fit the Cybertruck charging port. Anyone know if there will be an extension or new version made for the Cybertruck?

with north america, if we can still call it that, changing over to NACS the need for a special CCS adapter for Cybertruck declines by the day - or handle. Would be nice to have in the near term, let’s see.

Unfortunately, there are still a lot of places where Tesla Superchargers are nonexistent, and CCS1 DC chargers are available. Pensacola, for instance.

Which brand did you get? Does it fit other Teslas and not your Cybertruck?

I bought the Tesla adapter. It works fine on the Model Y because the port is inset only about 1/4”, but the Cybertruck port is inset more than 2”.

i seem to remember per out of spec videos that currently you could A) rip off the fairing around the wheel to make it fit. Or you can use the EVject adaptor with the OEM one to make it fit. Neither is a great solution, but using a 3rd party adaptor seems to be in the same boat as evject as you are both using a 3rd party device AND having to pay more for something non-oem.

Some have used the EVject "escape connector" as an extension from the Tesla CCS adapter to clear the Cybertruck fender. As of 2/25/2025 website shows "v2 pre-order."

Huh? I'm showing 4 open Supercharger sites within 50 miles of Pensacola and one of them is only 12 miles out of town. Any direction you go you will run into a Supercharger.

The lowest range Tesla you can buy has a 272 mile range!

I started to find this out when we went to test the adapter. I honestly didn't think there would be a market for it at first. Turns out I was wrong. I have started to pack it on longer trips away from home.

Yeah I never understood this thought of having a supercharger in ones backyard if one has home charging. A good radius for me is about 100 miles away all around.
