There is no autosteer capability on CT currently, you get TACC or you get FSD.

It's a reasonable assumption that Tesla should be able to feature limit FSD and provide functionality that used to be limited to autopilot and enhanced autopilot, but that doesn't currently exist.

This is most likely because autopilot and enhanced autopilot were separate software stacks and would have needed to be individually ported to the CT.

Yeah pretty lame over 1 year into production.
True, but with such limited production, and high demand of other features, it’s way down one the feature list. Most people want summons, unsupervised FSD, just better FSD, squat to load, rear view camera staying on with turn signal, auto present doors, CarPlay/android auto, park height, more theater streaming options, crab walk, plus a ton more.

Everything is way down on the List when it comes to the Cybertruck

Exactly my point, 50,000 vehicles on the road isn't a lot. And non-of those features will make the trucks fly off the shelf. Even if they did, Tesla is no where near the 250k a year they thought they would be at.

I guess the same thing could be said for legacy trucks that don't have AutoPilot either!

And, no, BlueCruise and GM's Cruise don't count. Just lame. If someone tells you they are just as good, if not better, they don't know what they're talking about.

Most people who think they want AutoPilot would be even happier with FSD. Yeah, it's not free, it cost a ton to develop. Not offering AutoPilot on the Cybertruck is probably a strategy to sell more FSD, considering what a great truck the Cybertruck is for the price, since Tesla is probably somewhere around break-even in the $70K range.

How does BlueCruise or Cruise not count? They are similar to AP with EAP, because of lane changes. So slightly better than base AP, but no where near FSD.

I talked about this back during launch. CT is probably based on a branch of v12 with the NN rather than the autosteer rules based system. If you’re going all out on FSD, and we all know by now how hard FSD is, then I’m guessing Tesla doesn’t want to divert resources from that to a redundant legacy feature.

Try either system under challenging conditions, with erratic drivers, poor visibility, etc. There is no comparison.

They could provide it now if they really wanted to…

they are still trying to push FSD

many are asking for it, so why not?

I have to say - FSD on the truck is absolutely fantastic. I wouldn't have a CT w/o FSD.
