We were forced to replace all 4 tires at 13K (6 months) due to a tire company ruining two of them during a rotation by getting their balance wrong. Happened on a 250mi trip home with the car rattling/shaking the entire way. Got the CT to my normal shop and one tire was off by 14 ounces while the other was off by 17 ounces! They ended up being out of round and that forced the rotation. Shop manager took full responsibility and we replaced all 4 for the price of one.

originally wanted to go with the OEM’s but they weren’t available in time for an upcoming Yosemite trip so we decided on the Toyo Open Country AT III’s we live in heavy snow country in the Sierra Nevada Range and we have used them for years on our Sequoia and have lived them! These are NOT the EV version of the tire as they don’t make them in 286/65/R20.

After 500 dry miles, they’ve been outstanding! They seem to be a tough harsher on the road but we fully expected that, given the more aggressive tread pattern. They should excel in rain and snow but were unfortunately a few months away from testing.

We were at 452 Wh/mi for the first 13K during 6 months. A lot of those miles were up and over mountain ranges and during 2 1/2 months of cold winter driving. Towing of snowmobiles and jetskis several times as well. I’ve got quite a lead foot so those miles are also driven at “Mach 1” as I’m rarely below 80 mph when I drive. My wife negates some of that by being the complete opposite when she drives! Haha

With 500mi on the Toyo’s, we’re at 430 Wh/mi which includes 1 trip to Yosemite from the west entrance and Hwy 4 which is just stupid in terms of mountain driving for those smart enough to have never done it! Haha. This trip was also my wife driving so I’ll see what the range looks like over the next week with me and report back.

I've also been looking into the next set of tires for my CT AWD. I still have 6mm of tread on the OEMs at 15,500 miles. I do a lot of highway driving as well as some off-roading which makes it hard to decide which tread design to go with. Duratracs, KO3s and Toyos make sense for great mud and snow traction and durability, but will reduce range and increase road noise on road trips. My thought, for now, is to go with a less aggressive A/T tire, like the Bridgestone Dueler AT Ascent, a good compromise between an aggressive off-road tire and one that gives a smooth quiet ride on the highway. Has anyone put these tires on their Cybertruck? If so, what's the verdict?

I’m pretty sure there’s some reviews on here for some of those tires. Just gotta do some searching. I’m thinking I’m going with the Falken Wildpeak A/T4

I got the ev version and they are great. They are a little bigger but fit fine. Doubt there is much difference besides branding. Range is same as oem.

Interesting looking tire, more highway focused compared to other A/T tires but still some hope for decent snow performance and light off-roading. While I'm enjoying my OEM Pirelli "core" tires now, I really like the BF Goodrich KO3 on my ICEmobile and hear good things here.

IMO off road tires are an odd choice. 90% of driving is done on highways. 5% is mild off road.
Highway tires and chains for the win.

IMO off road tires are an odd choice. 90% of driving is done on highways. 5% is mild off road.
Highway tires and chains for the win.
By off road tires, do you mean All Terrain Tires are an odd choice?

Yeah, in that case it probably makes more sense for those that don’t need them for significant parts of the year. For us, they’re an absolute must as we spend 100+ days a month skiing and get significant snowfalls here in the Tahoe region each year. After putting on chains year in and year out as a kid for family trips, I’ve sworn to never use them again! Haha. The AT tires have a minimal noise increase for us and the ride feel is negligible so we’ve been ok with them. We’ll see how these are after a couple of months but so far so good.
